Not sure what the reviews below are referring to. I tried this restaurant because my wife was craving a Nasi goreng rice. Google showed me this place. Tried a couple of other things as well. Awesome food. Good price. And authentic. Enjoyed it a lot.
I thought it was okay. I don’t have a lot of experience with Singaporean food but for me, most of it tasted good. Plus it gets extra points because it’s difficult to find a Singaporean restaurant at all. The laksa was too watery though.
Good, small portion.. Great flavour, plated beautifully. Got the rice and goat rendang, had only four pieces of meat for 8.99. For better value, just get the meat dish and rice side order for about just 3$ more.
I love this place. Great flavours that are authentic! It takes me back to my travels in Asia. The heat and spice is just right that it doesn’t burn your tongue off. The service is mostly good but when they’re overwhelmed, things just drag out painfully.
Wat Tan Hor Fun. This is a very popular dish back home in Singapore.Rice noodles with a special sauce with some shrimp, squid and pork. The secret to the tastiness of this dish is the way it is cooked and of course the sauce,You must ask for the pickled chilli to go with this dish to complete the flavor.19 Apr, 2011Hainanese chicken rice. This is probably the best, most authentic Chicken Rice in the GTA.The chicken meat is succulent and the rice flavorful. The full set of condiments are included, namely the thick dark soya sauce, the ginger scallion the chilli sauce and of course a small bowl of chicken soup.09 Nov, 2010Singapore /Malaysian food which is authentic as you can get in Canada. A very nice family run restaurant in Mississauga that serves authentic Singapore/ Malaysian / Thai food.I have been a regular of this place since they opened up 15 years ago.The fact that they are in biz for that long should tell you something! It’s all about the food! This is one of very few South East Asian restaurants that operating in the GTA.The owner Lillian being a true chef take great care with her quality / tastiness of food.Sure you can get some other restaurants that have bigger portions and / or slightly cheaper prices but it’s about the right balance of price and food quality that keeps me coming back here. The signature dish is the Chicken Rice (which in my humble opinion is the best in the GTA), other notables are the Hokkien Mee, Prawn Mee soup, Tahu Goreng, Lontong and Curry beef brisket.Being a small restaurant, service is not always attentive but learn to deal with it! We are there for the great food!
Great family run and owned Malaysian restaurant. The food is tasty and delicious.
Authentic, Good. Pretty much the only place I know where you can get a wide variety of authentic Malaysian food. It`s a bit of a depressing room, though, and the food is of an inconsistent quality, depending on what you order, but I keep going back to it for the delicious chicken rice, which comes with the proper condiments. The soups, particularly the pork bone soup, have a deep, rich broth and complex flavours.
