FOOD:We had come here on a Friday evening at around 7:00 pm for the AYCE hot pot. Once we were seated, we were given menus in both English and Chinese. The server then came around and took down the items that we had requested by putting them into the iPad that she was carrying. There were a multitude of items to choose from, which included beef, pork, and fish balls, lamb slices, tripe, an assortment of vegetables such as seaweed, sweet potato, and others, along with various other meats and dumplings. I was able to have my own pot as there was no one sitting across from me however, my husband and friend had to share as they were sitting across from each other.I did find that there was a lot to choose from which was great as we enjoyed having the variety. Some of the items, such as the beef, pork, and fish balls were quite small, which made us have to order more as the portion sizes were tinier than other places. Overall though, the food was good, tasting well-prepared and fresh. I also enjoyed the large array of sauces available in the corner, along with the ice cream cones which came in a plastic cone carrier. ATMOSPHERE:This restaurant was divided into two dining areas, with large tables enough for everyone to place their items on. Also, it wasnt as smokey or crowded as other hot pot restaurants that Ive been to. It seemed as though this restaurant was well-maintained, with an abundance of space between the tables in order to walk around if needed. The decor was also nice, with lights hanging from the ceiling, and decorative tree stumps used for seating in the front foyer.SERVICE:When we had sat down, it had taken about five minutes for our hot pots to arrive. However, when they did arrive, they arrived already boiling, which was a plus as we didnt have to wait for them to boil. Some of the items that we had ordered didnt arrive, and we had to order them twice, with them still not arriving however, we then decided not to worry about it afterwards and just carry on with our meal. Overall, the service was pretty-good, although at times I was quite thirsty since our water glasses were not filled often enough.COST:3 AYCE Hot Pot Dinners ($28.99/Person): About $35.00/Person (Cost Of Water Pot Included): About $109.00 (Taxes Included)WOULD YOU RETURN?Most definitely; the food was quite tasty, and the atmosphere was much better than other hot pot restaurants Ive been to.
