Located in a cosy neighbourhood closer to Dundas and Mississauga Road. Hands down the best fine dining Italian restaurant in sauga. Risotto and Lobster Fettuccine were incredible. Service steals the deal.

Went to Piatto for lunch. Good place. I had the calamari and veal Marsala. Both were very good and service was good. I wasn’t blown away with the food but to be fair I am not a big Italian food fan.

Why I gave a rating of 3.0 to what could have been a 4.5 or 5. Service could raise 3 star food to a 5. But in this case the food was a 4.5 or possibly a 5 – but brought down to a 3.0 due to low end service. The staff tried their hardest to deliver a 5 star service but they just didn’t have that natural delivery, it was muddled, fumbled and showed they were trying too hard but didn’t seem to know how to deliver. It got worse toward the end of the meal when a much younger waiter took over. Our deserts were delivered, but had to remind that our lattes had been left sitting at the bar. I had to clear my plates a couple of times myself and the place was not that busy. 4-5 male serving staff stood at the bar chatting in front of customers seemingly unaware. – The Chef does know what he is doing! We ordered 4-5 apps all were perfect, creative and delicious, the Cesar salad was ordinary for a high end Italian restaurant. The main courses Devine, pan seared sea bass I haven’t tasted like this since I dined on the Adriatic Sea. Veal medallions were to die for and the medium rare Bison was perfect and not game tasting at all. Disappointed with the cream brle, again ordinary. So the food just fell short of perfect at 4.5 and the service a 2.0 for this level of restaurant, my score averages to about 3.0. Cost short of $400 for 4, included a $50 bottle of wine, taxes and tip of $60. 4 mains, 5 apps, 1 desert & a single ice wine, vodka Cesar.
