Had bookmarked this place and as there was an occasion in the family, the three of us headed out to try this place out. The interior is quite interestingly done. The benches with tables, the decor on the tables, the salt and pepper shakers, the shades for the lights done with colander were nicely done. Started with Veggie Nachos – the chips nice and warm tasted fresh, the salsa home made fresh, the black beans and the refried beans, the cheese sauce were absolutely amazing. The quantity not so much. Wish they gave more for the price. Ordered a Veggie Chimichanga, a wet Veg Burrito and a veggie burrito. The Chimichanga deep fried was done perfectly, the fillings seasoned done just right. Not greasy at all. The wet Burrito and the Burrito even though on paper were the same tasted different and both were good! One had more rice and the other had more black beans. The fillings of rice, beans and salsa were as fresh as you can get. No doubt all of them made in house and with fresh ingredients. The Wet Burrito had a very small salad on the side and it tasted as good as the best salad we’ve had. The server was friendly and the service was one of the best we have had. The owner/chef had come out as well to clarify on a dish that we and the waitress thought was a mixup. But the mixup was not a mixup and by the time the chef came out we had figured it was an error on our part. However the chef, she was so soft spoken and calm. If you are looking for fresh food and good taste and quality-this is your place for Mexican food. Hope never close. Coming back soon.
Really amazing. Everything is made from scratch with fresh and authentic ingredients. It doesn’t look like much, but the food is as good as any 4 star restaurant.
A really good and authentic Mexican restaurant in Mississauga!! I wish I tried this place sooner. I always go to the Thai place beside it but I was in the mood for Mexican.Plenty of seating, great vibe and atmosphere and the food was delicious. I tried the gauc and chips, my Boyfriend had the naked beef burrito and I had the taco platter (3 tacos, comes with rice and beans). Only downside here was you have to get the same 3 tacos with the platter but I wanted to try a variety so you have to pay extra. I got the barbacoa, tinga and carnitas michocan and this one was definitely by fav! (Pulled pork). The Gauc is really interesting. Not sure how to explain it but has a mayo kind of look to it. Great tasting!Everything tasted fresh and real. I was really impressed. Definitely worth checking out.
Used to come here atleast twice a month. the prices have gone up (25%) their portion sizes about the same, but they won’t give you all the vegetables unless you pay extra. Quality is still alright but there are better places for your hard earned dollar.
This is now my favorite office lunch spot. Everything prepared fresh and it looks like the ingredients are all home made. Super authentic taste (to me, anyways). Haven’t even tried the empanadas yet, I keep getting the tacos. So good!
This place IS NOW OFFICIALLY DOWNHILL.. Been here many times but hadn’t been here for a few months until today. I don’t know if it’s a one-off, but it was terrible. We got the chicken enchiladas and they were disgusting. No salsa, sauce, sour cream…nothing but dried out microwave chicken inside a soggy corn shell. Hardly any cheese even, and the rice was completely dried out. We threw everything out and won’t be going back again.
