Their Poutine is amazing! I dont really like how it tastes when it gets cold but its better cold poutine than other places. I have been twice and both times got the poutine. I also love their coleslaw and I normally hate slaw. My mom told me while we were there to try the dads rootbeer, she loves it but I did not I didnt like it….I wouldnt get it again.

Went to McNie’s for the first time today. I got 2piece chicken fingers, poutine and coleslaw. I’m picky about my slaw and this place was the second place I liked it from. I liked the chicken fingers for the meat more than the breading. I loved the poutine it was fantastic :3 nothing like good gravy! It cost an extra 2.50 for poutine but so worth it! I’d love to go again, especially for the poutine! Slaw 4/5 chicken 3.5/5 and poutine 4/5.

I got take out for lunch 2 pieces (not very big) and 1 chip and its cost me $25. I couldn’t believe it when he told me my total thought it was a mistake. There is a picture in the photos of the place to show what I got for $25

Cape Breton Review. Our crew had the truly great pleasure of going to McNie’s….It was so good we all wanted to go back…Two days in a row!Our server..a lassie from the rock…was terrific . The two and one Halibut was perfect with cold slaw and tartar sauce served in abundance. The restaurant lay-out is from a wonderful time gone by and it can almost transport you back to the sea bound coast.Robert Patton-Murray
