Meh. If you want lots of food for relatively cheap, sure, go here. But it’s really not that great. Quite bland. This is my hometown and I grew up here and have ate at Green Acres a number of times. It’s never been memorable. Anybody who can do basic cooking can make this stuff. It’s quite popular, but Fort Erie hardly knows good food. It’s a meat and potatoes kinda place.

I have been to this establishment many times over the past 6 or so years with my parents, and it saddens me and with great regret we will no longer be patrons of this restaurant! I don’t mind the ageing decor, or the slightly inebriated patrons propping up the bar. All that doesn’t interest me what does is the slow deterioration of quality of that they are preparing and serving. The other guy is right in saying that they just buy everything in pre-cooked and just reheated that was evident on our last visit. I asked for mash potato and was given SMASH!! I asked the waiter he just replied, Well it is mash out of a packet!! I’m no snob but if I go out for dinner I expect the cook to be able to peel a potato!! I call them cooks because no Chef would dream of having packet potatoes in the kitchen! I’m sorry unless they go back to the way they use to serve food then we wont be going back.

Good Food!!!!. I don’t normally do this kind of thing, but i just read a review of some snob saying this wasn’t a good place to eat. It is crazy busy all the time, and that says something. I used to come from St Catharines all the time to eat here. The decor I agree is not great, but the food is, and the portions are huge. So who ever the hell that was is off his rocker, go eat at your mothers then fat ass.
