Have been here many times because the food is so good and the cooks are so friendly. That being said we will not be back again as we can no longer handle the awful table service. The only thing the server is responsible for is refilling your drink yet none of them seem to be able to do so. They congregate at the bar chatting and completely igorning all of their tables, despite an empty drink sitting on the end of the table and making eye contact with many of them several times which is an indication to any decent server that the table needs something. When it is time to go the server all of a sudden becomes your best friend as they wait for you to punch in the tip. Great food, worst service in town.
One of my Favourites!!. We recently moved to Thunder Bay. It’s hard to find a restaurant that I really look forward to eating at. Mongo’s is one of those restaurants.The staff are very friendly and helpful. The variety is amazing (some would say it’s too much). And the atmosphere is really welcoming and comfortable.If you like having a lot of choice and tons of healthy options, then this is the place for you.
I don’t understand this place- too much is left up to the diner which makes me feel like they just provide the ingredients and not much else. It is also really expensive, considering what you get. You really have to fill the bowl high with the more expensive items to make it worth your while. Won’t go again.
Amazing place!!! So very conscientious about allergies!!! Food is tasty and delish!!!! Love it!!!!
Not for me…. Went once, paid for 1 bowl and salad. Everything on the salad bar was rotten, and none of the soups were vegetarian-friendly. Servers saw that I didn’t eat my salad due to the fact that it was slimy, and there was no offer of compensation or anything and I was still charged for it.
Absolutely love the food! And the service is good and watching The show the people cooking put on is fun.
Lots of food for your money! The servers are always very friendly and fast with the drink service. I can always get at least two meals out of a single stir fry since I don’t eat much. I love this place!
