I went to the keg on a Thursday night. I like the keg because they are usually consistent no matter where you are in the country. This was not the case. It was loud and busy as usual so we sat at the bar side for dinner. We placed our order, the drinks and appetizers were great but thats where it ended. The ceaser salad was very bland. Then we waited and waited. The waitress was very nice and apologized for the long wait as the kitchen was busy. I don’t mind waiting but hate to be rushed. I had ordered the classic prime rib and the wife ordered the classic teriyaki sirloin so nothing special. I thought at least if the kitchen was busy I’d get hot freshly cooked food. Not so. I don’t know what happened but both plates were barely luke warm. When i informed the waitress she was genuinely upset our food was cold and offered to have it rush redone but we had already waited so long. She informed the kitchen of the problem and took care of desert for us. We took our meals as takeout. This is the second time I’ve had to have keg takeout. Won’t be back anytime soon. To bad the food doesn’t match the service.
Always had great food and service here. We drive over an hour from Grand Marais Minnesota to have a great steak and eat at a restaurant a couple times a month to hit a movie and dinner.

Just had 10oz prime rib where about 7oz was a mass of fat and gristle.
It’s a Keg – what can you expect?High prices, slow service, inconsistent quality, and a crowded, noisy dining experience. Buy a bottle of wine and steaks and eat at home – you’ll be much happier!
Well worth the money. On vacation we stopped up to The Keg. We had apps, filet mignon wrapped in apple bacon, and salmon. The food was awesome. Definitely worth treating yourself to the great food and fun environment.
