Food is good but service is questionable. Slow and clear demarcation between servers. Even though one is very busy, the other when asked by us to help says we are not her table and refused to serve us nor did she not tell the other waiter that we would like some service. When we told our waiter that we are ready to order, he told us to give him a sec, which turned out to be 5 minutes. Other than the service, food tasted very good, particularly the schnitzel. Will think twice before returning but not saying never because of the food.
We finally went here before it closes for the winter. Had schnitzel sandwich which was excellent. Nice beers, fast service and good prices. Will go again in May. Yum.
Disappointing. We just wanted a light dinner before a show at Thousand Island Playhouse and we went in at 6:30 mentioning that we needed to leave in one hour. We ordered a light dish of wiener schnitzel sandwich ( made with pork) that you can get with or without bread but includes a side such as a salad or soup. So we ordered borscht as a side. At 7:10 I asked if we could please get our soup at least and perhaps we could cancel the schnitzel if it takes too much time. No they brought the meat right away. Then almost at 7:20 they brought the soup. We were not happy as others coming later were served before us. It wouldn’t normally matter but the theatre was waiting. The schnitzel was somewhat flavorless. I have Hungarian background and make a good pork schnitzel but here it was tender but had very little flavor and was a bit dry . I suggested to the restaurant that they perhaps bring or offer some mayo next time. The hot vegetarian borscht was full of beets and cabbage topped with sour cream. ( I used the sour cream on my schnitzel); the soup was very good though I prefer to make mine at home with beef broth. The cost was reasonable.
Food was very good we would return
