  Great music. Great food. Greater memories the local pub is a hidden gem and should honestly be more popular outside of the east end of the city. the Blackburn Arms have a dart league along with a live band pretty much every Friday-Saturday night but unlike many other pubs youd think of right off the top of your head for example heart and crown, Liam McGuires Patty Borlands. The Blackburn Arms also hosts a whiskey tasting along side other various charity events. This whiskey tasting isnt for the guy that likes jack Daniels. Were talking premium scotch and whiskey. Besides all that. It has a nice patio out front, the drinks are always cold and the staff are always extremely welcoming

  Substandard service, food, and beer selection. Place feels like it belongs in the 80s. It also gives off a vibe of catering to its regulars, ie if you’re not one of them, you don’t belong. I’ve given this place a try multiple times over the years (since I lived just up the street for five years,) and I’ve never received or felt anything more than the above.

  Mary Ann (Lorette)Beal (Big Mike’s sister). Hi Brenen, Scott & Ray – I have been to your establishment each and every time I am visiting with my brother and his wife in Gloucester.. The service, food and friendly atmosphere make the trip(s) to Blackburn Arms Pub a truly enjoyable experience. Ray is a great cook and genuinely cares about the quality of food he prepares for his guests. Who could ask for more! Good job guys! By the way, Big Mike bought me a Blackburn Arms T-shirt and brought it to me when he visited in September. I guess I am now an official member of the pub. Looking forward to frequenting your establishment as often as I wish, whenever I am in your vicinity. Thanks Big Mike.

  Nice Spot. The Arm’s Burger was always delicious. I was a frequent flyer here back when I worked in the vicinity.Classic Burger Royale $12.95Lean and juicy, seasoned ground beef, topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, red onions, tomato, mushrooms and a dill pickle spear.

  Great food, great people. I’ve been going to the Arms for years, and it is all around my favourite place to go for some food and fun. The people are very friendly, and the food is great. I love the place.

  First negative review!. So far I’ve only reviewed the places I’ve liked. This is the first that I will (unfortunately!) not go back to. I should mention that I was so happy to find a typical British-style pub east of Ottawa. I had a burger (and loved it) and my wife ordered the curry. She found a long hair in it and (she’s tougher than I am) put it aside, not wanting to bother the restaurant staff. She found a second long black hair; at this point, I called the waiter over and told him. He apologized and offered to get a new dish for her, but by this time she had lost her appetite.We got a gift certificate and a discount on the meal. I think that we were treated fairly and the waiter was extremely apolegetic. We had no problem going back a second time with the gift certificate and enjoyed the food. We would not, however, have gone back without the gift certificate (I would have written it off and never gone back again).Even though our second visit was great, I still don’t know if we’ll return. It’s a terrible shame. Had this not occurred, I would have written a glowing review here, but now I just can’t. My wife still can’t touch curry! 🙂
