2017/09/28I was heading back home, and I had time for dinner at the airport, so I decided to give Byward Taps a try. Not sure why, but this week was full of burgers for me, and yet I decided to get another burger. The Baja Crunch Burger caught my eye, with jalapeo cheddar, guacamole, nacho chips and chipotle aioli. I lowered the overall calorie count by have a salad instead of fries. The chips gave the burger a nice crunch, and there was a little bit of pleasant heat from the cheese and aioli. To me the service felt a little bit slow, especially since this is an airport location.
Flight got delayed so I decided to try this place, steer clear of here. Service was ok, waitress was kinda rude. Food was nothing special. Had the breakfast and it was not good.
Waitress rude. Wow this place needs to do the undercover boss show. Bad bad service. I feel bad for the customers. Lucie needs to get a new job
Rude staff. I travel to ottawa a lot. Often I am stuck at the airport and end up at this place. The past 4 times the staff, food and hygiene of this place has been bad. The staff is what kills me…. Fire them! I sit at the bar and I see people come from tables to pay, get re-fills and complain. The idiots that work there don’t get IT….
Worst service of all time. I have left this place too many times now without complaining about how terrible the service is. The staff will ignore you for as long as they possibly can. They could not possibly care less. The food service for this entire airport is a joke-but don’t catch yourself at byward taps.
Worst service I’ve ever had. I had been sitting at my table for 20 minutes before I was offered a drink and a menu. Then I waited another 40 minutes for the server to ask if I wanted to order anything after I saw him take orders from 2 tables that had just say down. I’ve been a server before, it’s not as hard as he makes it look.
This place is a joke. We have been coming in here before the London flight for ten years but this place is really really gone.At 8 o’clock all the seats around the bar had been taken away so the place looked closed.I have NEVER seen so many customers turned away with statements by the staff like:: We are out of lettuce, chicken, etc and at 8.50 Sorry the kitchen is now closed.All of us CUSTOMERS are wedged in a corner near the entrance and we have another hour and a half before our flight.This place is a disgrace to Canada.
