Chicken Shawarma and Spicy Potatoes with Garlic. Note: I have been eating at Cedar Valley for YEARS, I have always enjoyed their food; shawarma’s are fresh, pita is soft and the chicken plates are delicious. However, I have noticed in recent years/my recent visits, I was no longer impressed. The Chicken Shawarma is not bad, but I’ve had better. They don’t put enough it them, they are very skinny, not hefty and loaded with the good stuff. The garlic sauce is really just garlicky mayonnaise, and the toppings aren’t that fresh lately. Potatoes were soft, and customer service is hit and miss, a bit of a soup nazi situation, but with shawarma. I use to LOVE this place, not so much anymore. This picture (large shawarma+potatoes+can of pop) cost me $14, that is really overpriced for a shawarma combo. Worth trying if you have never had it before, but I wouldn’t be dying to continue to go back.
Poor customer service. Every time I go, I tend to get rude customer service. the food is usually good, so I overlook it. My latest visit was especially poor, and I have now resigned to not return here. Unfortunately, it is the owner who always seems to give the worst service so I’m not able to complain to anyone to rectify the situation. I ordered a vegetarian platter; the photo of the platter shows that you will receive two falafels – I received one. Nothing that was supposed to be warm had been heated up. I asked for pickles and garlic sauce, and my request was met with passive aggressive comments about how I shouldn’t have them with this meal and they should charge extra. It was extremely rude and I wouldn’t have minded paying extra if it was kindly explained to me. However its not as though the main course was worth the money I paid – everything was cold and limp. I was so upset with the way I was spoken to that I didn’t even want to eat the meal when I got home.

Love love love love!. I love shawarmas! I have been to every shawarma place in Orleans and this has got to be the best one around! The garlic sauce is so yummy and their food always tastes so fresh! I am always served with a smile! If I could eat there everyday I would!

I am surprised they still have business?!!!!. I started going to Cedar Valley a few years ago, I’ve always genuinely enjoyed their food. One thing that just disgusts me about this restaurant is their service. Now, I am a strong believer in customer service. If you want me to be a valuable and frequent customer, its simple- be polite and respectful. I am surprised that they still have business because after going there for 10-15 times I don’t know how I could possibly walk back in there. The man is always a grouch and the woman is one of the rudest people I have ever had to deal with. They barely engage in conversation with you… Very unprofessional especially when you get to the cash and the woman is sitting on a chair while serving you. That may not bother some people but to me that is unprofessional. I have seen many young students in training and the owner will litterally raise his voice at them and treat them like there nothing !! You want an excellent tasting shawarma place with the best service out there? Shawarma chef in Orleans !! The owner has got to be one of the friendliness people I have ever met. Truly amazing.
