Ottawa is so lucky to have this extraordinarily great restaurant. People who go there, go there a lot. There are so many wonderful dishes to choose from and the lunch buffet is absolutely fantastic. My favourite is the chicken curry #14 and everyone I have shared this dish with is nothing less than astounding by its flavour, and this includes a friend who lives in Vancouver where there are so many great Asian restaurants, and has travelled all over every country in Asia. A great dining experience without question. The owners take great pride in their establishment and are the nicest down to earth people.
Really special little place, family run. Fod is excellent, made with quality ingredients and care. It shows. The service is great. They make sure you are satisfied. I absolutely recommend this place. Very clean and spacious and tastefully decorated. Do yourself a favor and try it. Nice lunch buffet as well.
I ventured all the way into this quiet, industrial-like area to experience what the other reviewers’ have been dubbing as holy grail Malaysian food. I ordered the Kuala Lumpar wings and the beef rendang (a split of the spicy and milder versions) with a side of plain rice. I pride myself of being able to handle spicy dishes so I was both curious and excited to taste authentic Malaysian cuisine for the first time. The beef rendang was tender and flavorful, but a little too spicy to be enjoyed in my opinion. I couldn’t make out the spices, but there was definitely an interesting blend used to create the flavor profile of this dish. The wings were freshly fried and tender. The decor as mentioned is dated and could use some modernizing. The couple running the restaurant were very kind, and the husband, almost uncle-like which I found to be really endearing. Would I go back, probably not.
