Ok I know that it says to be polite but how can I not say how i feel after the way I got treated. I won’t be specific all I have Is one word.Pervert. My rating would be less than 1 if it were possible Doesn’t matter how good their food may be.

Just went there tonight and had regular poutine, this place is great, fries are crispy and great portion of cheese curds. This is really true Qubec poutine :-)They do have an extensive menu with weekly specials but every time I go I have poutine. This little place is far yes and in the middle of a parking lot but is worth the trip.

Well I have to start by saying that I have been going to Poutinefest on Sparks Street since it started a few years ago and on my first visit I discovered the Lobster Bacon Poutine…I was BLOWN away so I told EVERYONE I knew…I’ve gone back every November and May just to have it…one day I even had one for lunch and one for dinner. People said I was crazy for spending $14 (Thats how much it was last year) on a Poutine but I always said it was worth it…in fact it was worth $20…unfortunately, this love affair has come to a sad ending. Yesterday I trekked down Sparks Street in the rain super excited to be reunited with the almighty lobster bacon poutine. The price went up to $16, which didn’t even phase me since I know how amazing it is and it’s always worth every penny. Long story short, I went home feeling like I had just broken up with someone. I order and the girl gives it to me, very soon after we ordered so quick service, maybe too quick. I look at it an know right away it is not the same lobster bacon poutine I have had twice a year for the past few years. There was literally less than half the lobster that they usually put on it (it’s usually covered) and about 10 small curds of cheese (they usually give you tons of cheese). The fries were the only decent part of it. Barely any cheese, barely any lobster and to top that all off it was COLD gravy…it wasn’t even edible so I returned it for my money back. The girl was nice and asked if I wanted another one. No, why would I want another one? Clearly the gravy’s temperature was not right. My boyfriend ordered the pulled pork poutine and it was cold as well. If the gravy was hot, it may have at least made the food edible. I can get a WAY better poutine for $7 or $8 anywhere else…even mediocre poutines were better than the one I was served. I would have paid $20 for the poutines I have had at Golden Fries in the past but this one, it was worth nothing. I was so sad and disappointed that I have decided to end my love affair with the lobster bacon poutine. For YEARS Golden Fries has been serving this and it has always been more than amazing but for the sake of greed, they raise the price and serve crap. If you are charging $16 for a poutine of any kind, it better be epic. If people are used to how great a product is, then why ruin it by serving garbage just to make a few extra dollars? I left sad and disappointed and unfortunately, when everyone asked how it was this time I told them it was garbage and I won’t be going back. There were a few pople I know who even said it was not the same this year. So so so sad. My boyfriend was not familiar with the lobster bacon poutine and I kept telling him the ones I had before were amazing…then I remembered I had a taken a photo last time so I found it, showed him, and he said it definitely was not what I got today. My search for a new love affair with a super duper poutine will commence once I get over the heartbreak that was caused yesterday.
