Went last night, and it was crazy busy. The server was very friendly, and she did a decent job at keeping my coffee topped off. I ordered their cajun wings, which came with fries, but I still found almost $13 for a pound of wings was a little much. They had barely any seasoning on them, and they took a while to come, which again, granted, it was busy.The atmosphere there is great, though there was this one creepy painting staring at me the whole night. They also do Karaoke, which as with anyway, is very hit or miss.
Went for breakfast this morning with the wife. The hashbrowns were very overcooked and just overall not very impressed with the entire meal. Not surprisingly we were the only ones in the restaurant. I feel like this place has a lot of potential if they actually cared. I will not go back for breakfast here, however I have had really good nachos and beer here for dinner.
A little taste of home.. The service was spectacular. The food was amazing. I ordered the chicken boxty and finished every bit of food on my plate. Once the food arrived I spent a few minutes just inhaling the smell. It was amazing and comparably priced to other places in the area. I will be returning as it is the best food i have had in a while. I am from New Brunswick, Canada and was here visiting. Being an east coast pub, it really was a little taste of home in atmosphere, friendliness, east coast food.
Not sure how it gets such good reviews. Restaurant was very dark and quite dingy. We went in for a late lunch and had the fish and chips. Don’t think I’ve ever been more disappointed: no coleslaw with the meal, the chips were overcooked (and looked like they were left over from the earlier lunch crowd). The fish was tough and tasteless, with too much batter that was very greasy; looked like the fryer wasn’t hot enough. Quite possibly the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had. Maybe the good reviews are based on the entertainment, not the food.
Family friendly pub. This is my local I guess. They have a nice little sunny patio, a decent selection of beer on tap, and the food is fine for pub food to go with your beer. Breakfast works as well – the portions are huge, and always come out fast (which is key with a 2 year old at the table).The staff are always nice to us, whether it’s the whole family at breakfast, or just the two of us stopping by for a beer. Plenty of space in the main bar too, so you always feel welcome. It’s worth stopping in for a drink if you’re in the neighbourhood.
Ok Food, Great Staff. This is our local and we often come to have a pint or two while relaxing. The staff are fantastic, very friendly and attentitive without making you feel like they’re hovering over you. The food is ok – your typical pub/bar fare. They charge extra sometimes for the dips (if you get burgers and sweet potato fries, it’s extra for their dip for the fries for example) which can be a ltitle annoying.
Great Pub!. Great food and great staff. Great place to take a date on weekend for the food and night life. I don’t go anywhere else for wings they have a variety of flavors that are all amazing!
