River Pizza has been my families favourite pizzeria since it opened. The owner, George is always working very hard and is so kind. The pizza is the best in Ottawa and not once have they messed up my order. Every pizza they make has amazing crust, great sauce and the perfect amount of cheese and ingredients. I must say I’m highly impressed!
Hopefully this was a one time thing. We only order pizza from River and have loved it and raved about it to everyone. Tonight , the box was soaked in oil , the toppings had slid off the crust which was like caulking. You could not pick up a piece. It was totally not there usual . Will try another time.
Surprised by the negative comments. I have three teenagers and probably order pizza from here once a week. We haven’t really ordered anything except the pizza – maybe poutine once in awhile (my kids love it). They do pizza REALLY well and they have never made a mistake on our order (despite my kids seemingly trying to make it as challenging as possible!). It’s still super hot when it gets here and the debit card machine always works (can’t say the same for all of the delivery restaurants out here).The only negative thing about River Pizza is their hours, but I understand it’s family owned, so I can respect that.Oh yeah – the garlic sauce is amazing!!
Not so good anymore. What was once decent place to order a good pizza is no longer the case. The last few times we have ordered they got the order wrong. Last pizza we ordered was a lopsided mess, with one half of the pizza being a thin crust and the other side being thick. Crust was really dry and tasteless and looked and tasted like they mixed regular dough with gluten free. Toppings were sparse but the price was not! Pretty pricey for something that went to the garbage can, guess you can say we just got Rivered!
When I ordered by phone I was NOT told that there was a delivery charge I certainly did not expect my order to go from $15 to $20.00 at the door.I won’t be ordering from River Pizza ever again!!!
Big sloppy mess of a pizza. Just a lot of dough and cheese but very few toppings. I wouldn’t order from them again.
Amazing dough, a nice surprise for a small pizza joint.
