Currently eating at the restaurant and it’s so bad I had to write a review. All of the fish tasted weird to me, and my friend commented that it all had no taste to him, but we both had equally disappointing experiences. Servers were nice tho, just mad I had to pay $25 when I could have gotten much better sushi for the same price elsewhere (side note: it said it was $22 for dinner but it was $25, so another unfortunate event).
After trying Sushi Kan in the Gloucester area I did not think I would wanna try Sushi Kan in Nepean. Our usual go-to was closed, and we were craving sushi for lunch so we went here. We were very pleasantly surprised. The service is quick, the restaurant is quite spacious, my only gripe is the washrooms aren’t so clean… and have a bunch of racist graffiti all over the stalls.The food. It is very good for the price of $14.99! Takoyaki for lunch? Yes please! They also have new premium rolls – I forget the names but they have a few that are torched and they taste so delicious. There was one with shrimp tempura, avocado, cucumber, cream cheese, and fish eggs inside with torched butterfish on top. This is saying something for an AYCE! It has perfect rice to filling ratio. I would actually pay full-price for a roll like that at an a-la-carte.I don’t know if I would go here for dinner though. The sashimi selection is not very exciting, it’s standard… no octopus or anything. For dinner we’d probably go elsewhere. For lunch however, it’s a solid spot. It just goes to show that different locations have differences in terms of food quality, selection, and of course service.
Went with my girlfriend for the first time, thinking we would give it a try. Sushi wasn’t fresh and to top it off I bit into a crab tempura and found a big piece of plastic. Manager only gave us 10% off. We definitely will not be going back…. Would not recommend
Sushi kan is a great option if your looking for all you can eat sushi. Over 100 menu items, free drink refills, tidy establishment and friendly staff.
The sushi rolls here are great, especially the special ones off of the night menu. The yummy yummy roll with cream cheese is a real delight. Great value for money, make sure you come with an appetite to really make use of the giant menu. Free refills after initial fountain drink purchase which is only 50cWill be back!Enjoy!
So I am a regular customer at the sushi kan near innes and blair. Yesterday my friends and I ate there and we were enraged because the servers were so rude and the food was a negative, and I was forced to give a tip for a shitty experience. The servers were giving us dirty looks throughout the time we were there for no apparent reason, I had asked for a 6pc california roll more than 4 times and they still didn’t give it to me. Nothing was given on time and there was this one lady, I can tell she was new because I’ve never seen her there. She purposely left our food out and gave other customers theirs, she was also the one who had forced my friends and I to give a tip!!! I am never coming back here again, I would rather go all the way to the west because they are so nice.
This was my 4th visit and although my 1st experience was pretty bad, I keep giving it a chance and trying again. Every following visit has proven itself to be a bad decision. I was there with 3 friends and my twin babies, and after 3 1/2 hours (this is not a joke), we still had not received most of our food. Neither had the tables around us but most of those customers were smart enough to leave. Any time we asked what was going on, they seemed very frustrated and would walk away without apologizing or explaining. We weren’t rude or giving them any reasons to treat us this way. I regret paying the expensive bill. I should have walked out. I am officially never returning and recommend to anyone considering this place to do the same.
