Secret Treat. On a quick trip to the region to check out a cottage rental, a friend and I stopped on the main downtown street to find an interesting lunch, had it not been for the sandwich board on the sidewalk I wold of not even known there was food in here.. That would of been a shame.My friend had a Curry Chicken salad sandwich and loved every bite, I had a chicken wrap that was closed on three sides and heated in a press.. oh my it was yummy.. But… the crowning glory was the deserts… There was a fresh made pie on the counter and I had to….. Rubarb/sour cream I was told.. and untill this day I would of said I did not care for pie.. no longer.. I love Pie… if its like this.. ( my friend was gonan have one taste.. she had more than 1 lol, We also took a few other treats home with and all were excellent.At the table beside us was a local couple in for just pie, and I we talked, I was told the biggest problem this little operation has is that visitor, like ourselves, often taste the pie and buy it all.. and they only made a very limited amount daily, ( I was told from her home each night) This store front has 3 business’ inside the doors, 1st the food, walk back there are flowers, then at the rear it’s wedding planning.Check it out if your going down the 401, pass the box stores near the hwy go into the town, or take a day trip just for lunch.
