Saturday night sudbury delight. My fiance grew up in Sudbury and he wanted to take me on a tour of his hometown which ended with us having a last minute dinner at this fabulous gem of a restaurant. It was intimate and cozy and the menu variety was impressive. I had the grilled calamari salad and duck as a main while my guy had chicken livers which to me sounded horrible but were absolutely delicious. His main was the paella which was so good I didn’t get a taste. Our waitress was beyond extrordinaire! High praises to everyone here.
Appalled. I can’t review the food or decor because I never got to the point of going to the restaurant, but I can review one particular staff member…I had called the number found of their website to inquire about a group event (potentially spending upwards of a thousand dollars at the restaurant!!) and a misunderstanding regarding the phone ended up in a shocking experience. My communication with the gentleman who answered the phone ended in two voicemails left on my phone by this very gentleman…The first voicemail simply told me to F off, that’s it. The second voicemail involved more foul language and repeated name calling. I have never experienced such service and am still stocked that it happened. I will NEVER visit Alexandria’s and I discourage everyone from doing so as well. What an appalling experience!
After hearing good things, I visited this restaurant and was very disappointed with the whole experience. Over priced and poor service. I will not return.
Amazing Restaurant. That restaurant is consider to me the best in All Sudbury,they have such an amazing food the flavors are all amazing an different,my Favorited dish there is the Lobester Raviolli and the Chicken Oporto and the most recommended dish is the Egyptian Pasta.About the service ,people there are very friendly and super nice.i always when i go to Sudbury to visit i go there.
Never returning. Overall bad first experience at this restaurant. Small parking lot, upstairs room is disconnected from kitchen and the rest of the restaurant (ex: only one bathroom stall for each gender), tables were organized in a strange fashion – two of them had chairs lined up against the walls (how do they expect people to get in and out without having to climb over everyone??), smaller menu when in a large group (choice of only 5 appetizers and 6 entrees), expensive menu options (small appetizers ranging from $9 to $12; small entrees ranging from $20 to $34), EXTREMELY slow service (took 1.5 hours to get our entrees from when they took our orders), small portions (when considering the prices), didn’t ask if we wanted coffee or tea or desserts, took at least 15 minutes to get our bills, and to top it off – they DON’T ACCEPT DEBIT (in 2011, too!).Good points: Servers were nice and friendly (albeit slow at times), free bread slices with herbed butter (if it wasn’t for this, I’d still be hungry after having my meal).Unfortunately, the bad outweighs the good – I will not be returning to this restaurant again.
My favorite in Sudbury. I go there almost every week. The food is great with a little bit of spiciness but not too much. Some of their soups (e.g. lentil soup) are exceptional. Most dishes come with a sauce that tastes great although it may be a little bi repetitive if you come often.Service is extremely friendly and attentionate. One of Sudbury’s bests.
