Since Pino took over this long established Grimsby pizzeria, he has transformed it into a first rate eatery. If you love building your own pizzas with fresh cut ingredients and a relatively thin crust, baked as you like it, then don’t miss out.Ask for Ray’s vegetarian with a garlic / olive oil base. Wicked. My fave place for Italian/pizza. Food and atmosphere are amazing- I almost don’t want to tell anyone how much I love this place in case my new go-to spot in Grimsby is too crowded next time I go in.
New owners = Great food & service!. We have tried Amici’s pizza again now that the new owners have re-opened and what a HUGE difference! Pizza is not burnt, delivery is when they say it will be here or earlier! If you ate here before or not, you need to try it! All of the food we have tried off the menu s far is amazing! The customer service both on the phone and in the pizzeria is a day and night difference! The new owner is just great to all of his customers! We will definitely be getting out pizza, subs, pasta and wings from here!
Never again!!. We are new to town and wanted to try the pizza since we heard great things. Well I’m very disappointed! We placed our order and was told it would be delivered in 35-40 mins. We waited over an hour and half! After an hour of waiting we called and they said ‘it should be out the door any minute’. I can understand waiting 45 mins to an hour on a Saturday but we called on a Monday! I might overlook their tardiness if the pizza was good but it was over-cooked, the dough was rubbery and they didn’t even apologize. Don’t waste your money and time!
Pizza & customer service. We ordered 2 large pizza’s a few days ago for the first time from Amici’s. We will try it again to be fair, as everyone can have a bad day, however, the pizza wasn’t even edible. We couldn’t bite through the crust, it was hard & rubbery. We threw out both pizza’s without eating any.I decided to phone & let them know, giving them kind criticism – and the response was the part that made me angry in the end. I assumed that I would receive a call from the manager or the owner in the next few days. It’s been a week, and no one has called – this tells me that they don’t care.Obviously the cook had a bad night, or they were training someone new, but I shouldn’t be out of pocket $30 + tip & 2 full pizza’s in the garbage. We have NEVER EVER order a pizza that could not be consumed – this is a first !I wasn’t going to post this, but after giving them the chance to even call or offer a partial credit, or even explain & have had no attempt (been checking call display) certainly makes me wonder if they care…
