Some fish with the rice would be nice!. I am an avid reviewer of restaurants before I try out a new place. So I was pleasantly surprised that Sushi Eight had several positive reviews, especially considering this is Grimsby we are talking about. Perhaps the location is what explains the lacking quality. To my surprise, they do not have shrimp tempura on the AYCE lunch menu. This is the first time I have seen this in the dozens of sushi restaurants I have frequented. Most importantly, however, there was more rice on our rolls than anything else (SEE PHOTO). We assumed this was a strategy to fill you up on rice with hardly any fish. Ultimately, the best thing we ordered was off of the Chinese Selections menu. But wait, isn’t this a sushi restaurant?? With regard to the service, I had no complaints until I saw how our server handled a disgruntled customer at the table next to us regarding the lack of fish and excess of rice in their rolls as well. The server replied by repeatedly talking about the different standards among different sushi restaurants. If your standard sucks, perhaps you should change it.By the way, we didn’t even order this roll…. it was supposed to be crispy spicy but they brought us spicy crab…
Love it. I have tried several sushi restaurants and when I saw that we were going to have one in town I was VERY excited but I was worried it wouldn’t live up to my expectations. Well it did and continues to. I especially love their spicy tuna roll and sushi pizza. Both are very tasty.Their Chinese food is really good as well. I highly recommend their Singapore noodles if you like a little bit of heat.I have not eaten their many times, as we normally get take out, however myself and 5 other moms along with our babies went for lunch once and we received great service! The waitress was so helpful and they did not mind one bit that the babies made quite the mess as they were experimenting with the sushi.The prices are also very reasonable and if you go for lunch you can get a miso soup with 2 rolls for $6.99 or 3 rolls for $9.99.

LOVE THIS SUSHI!!!!. Sushi Eight is AWESOME!! I live in Smithville and ive had sushi from many places in Niagara and today from a place in St.Kitts NEVER AGAIN. I will always get my sushi from sushi eight from now on because its always good. They are very friendly and offer you tea if your getting an order to go. They have made many changes since the negative comments below so dont let them distract you from going yourself. I have been eating here for the past year and its been great each time. GO YOU WONT BE DISAPOINTED!

Great. I love this place. I have pretty much always had at least good service and it has improved 10 fold since they opened. As far as an all you can eat sushi place goes the food is awesome. The fact that they have some Chinese dishes included in the all you can eat menu makes it ideal if there is a group and someone isn’t in to sushi.I also have large parties every month and order the Party platters. They are fantastic and they are maticulus about the freshness and quality.I highly reccomend this place.
Excellent. My husband and I have eaten here many many times and we both feel it is excellent sushi for an all you can eat place. The service was less than optimum in the beginning but it has improved greatly since opening at the beginning of this year. Not only do we eat here we also have ordered thier take out party trays for our own entertaining. The party trays have ALWAYS been fresh and delicious. We have then served these trays at our own parties and EVERYONE raved about them! Just be patient with the servers as sometimes English is not thier first language and wouldnt you want them to be patient with you if you were visiting their homeland and trying to order food? :)We love Sushi Eight and reccommend to everyone who asks!!!
