Average, only average. You get what you pay for. I just didn’t feel like cooking and wanted something other than pizza. Looking at their very extensive menu, ordered the Bento box.The Good: Excellent California roll, salad, and white rice (but you really can’t mess up white rice).The Bad and Ugly: Tempura veg and shrimp – it wasn’t too greasy, and now I don’t mind frozen shrimp but I’m certain that the oil used to cook was VERY old. All of it tasted like the same, veg or shrimp and had a weird after taste. Also horrible was the beef hibachi. Now I wasn’t expecting Keg quality beef, but this was the toughest beef I’ve eaten ever! I should have gone with the chicken.Finally, the miso soup. Awesome broth! But but only three cubes of tofu about a centmetre in size, c’mon.Lesson reinforced, at $12 for so much food is a good deal, but you pay for what you get.
I’ll be going back!. I ordered a variety of items this evening for my family. we ordered the Pad Thai, Pad Se Ew, Hiabtchi Entree with Chicken, spring roll (fried), Pan fried Goyeaz, Smoked Salmon Roll, Philly Roll and veggie roll. The portions were HUGE! Amazing bang for your buck! Sushi was fresh and I found the meat to rice ratio just perfect! And the entre were delicious. The service on top of everything was amazing. I would recommend this restaurant to any sushi lover and will be going back.
Will Not Be Returning or Recommending to Anyone!. This is the worst sushi restaurant in Guelph. The rolls were mostly made of rice and none of the seafood, appetizers or cooked meats were fresh at all. Everything was frozen like it was prepared the night before and defrosted in the deep fryer or pan. Those dishes tasted like they had freezer burn. The hibachi dishes were really small portions and not thoroughly cooked. Some food items came out at random times. I got one of my appetizers at the end of the meal. We didn’t get the rest of our order. The server told us that she was waiting for us to finish everything on our table before she started to MAKE the rest of our food. It was hard finishing all of the dishes because each dish was below par. The sashimi pieces were cut extremely thin and did not taste fresh. I definitely do not recommend this place. The a la carte Thai curry was not any better. It was watery and bland with barely any curry or meat. Steer clear of Hibachi Sushi f you like Japanese and Thai food!

If you LOVE sushi, you WON’T go here!!. Sorry but this place just doesn’t cut it. Went twice just to give them the benefit of the doubt and won’t return. The fish tastes frozen!! Not fresh at all. It’s always drenched in sauce for some reason. Didn’t like it at all. On the plus side, takeout is much better than dining in which doesn’t make sense to me. There are much better places in town!
Where’s the meat?. All rice and no meat.
Garbage sushi. If you are a true sushi lover stay away from this place. It was hands down the worst sushi I have ever had….the sushi was soggy and tasted sour. All of the thai dishes we ordered tasted like they were straight out of the microwave….no flavour and burnt. Worst of all we told the waitress to cancel any remaining food we had coming and that we wanted the bill and she argued with us telling us that all of her customers love her food. Do not waste your money here, complete garbage.
