Had lunch here today with a friend. Food was excellent – authentic and fresh. The service was lovely. Our server was very attentive in a quiet and professional way. Portion size was perfect for lunch and presentation was very nice. I’ll certainly go back.
Good food. VERY small potions though. So disappointed that we didn’t more food for our money.
I liked this place, my friend and I got spring rolls, pad Thai and shrimp fried rice. It was all really good & quick service.
Terrible Thai. Either Lemongrass changed their menu since 84% of people gave a positive review, or 84% of patrons have never had real thai food. I ordered Curry Green Chicken, and my girlfriend ordered the basil stir-fry and vegetable spring rolls. As you can see in my photo, the vegetables come from a frozen package presumably purchased from the frozen food aisle at a grocery store, most of which are items I’ve never seen in an authentic green curry chicken. The pieces of chicken in the dish were no bigger than my index finger nail, and I could count the number of pieces on 2 hands. The spring rolls were undoubtedly also previously frozen, and the same can be said for the basil stir fry dish. Nothing about this place is authentic, the food is absolutely terrible and poor quality, and certainly not worth $32 for 2 of the most unsatisfying Thai dishes I’ve ever sampled. I can say with certainty that I will never go back, even if they offered me a free meal in food faith.
Just average. The food was alright, I have no desire to go back any time soon, but I won’t say I will never go back either. We had assorted spring rolls and red/green curry. The spring rolls were the frozen kind, so they were greasy and completely tasteless. The curries were decent, but nothing spectacular.
DO NOT GO HERE- please read why!. I strongly advise that if you are looking for great authentic thai cuisine that you DO NOT go here. It is remarkably expensive and the food is not fresh. My partner ordered the green curry, when his plate came out it was certain that the vegetables were from a frozen bag (the M&M meats stir fry mix perhaps). The pad thai was dismal, you have to choose your meat which is typically normal; however, tofu was not automatically included – you would have to spend an additional $11 for that to be added. So basically the pad thai was noodles and little tiny bits of chicken. I must admit, I should have walked out the door when I saw that they charged for the Jasmine tea and that it wasn’t automatically included due to the fact that I have been eating thai for years in many cities and have always had a complimentary pot of tea waiting and refilled as if it were water. A cup of jasmine tea will cost you $0.75 and if you want water, you have to ask for it and be patient for it may take 5-10 minutes, btw we were the only ones in the restaurant. To be honest, Sombat restaurant was closed because they are on vacation for the next month, so if you are in a similar situation right now just go grab a burger at the Works or grab a meal and a pint at the Woolwich Arms
Good food. Try a dish with cashews
