Bad service. We tried Sunset Grill a few times, and found that the service was lacking. The last time we went, we didn’t get served at all. We were seated in the back corner, and saw almost everyone who sat after us were served. No server at all for us after 10 minutes. We just left. They were not interested in us. We also had an experience before that where they took our order, and we only got coffee. After a seemingly long time, and seeing people who came in after us get their food, we asked our server. Apparently the cook didn’t get our order. We left. We will not be returning.
The service at this place sucks! The food was cold and under cooked. My eggs tasted like they were cooked in soap. The coffee was brown water. And the food was the best part! Our waitress was fine but the management was extremely rude! Their debt machine wasn’t working properly and they were making fun of us! If your going to make jokes about your patrons- maybe you should at least wait till their entire party leaves.Oh and their washrooms were horrible! A pig pen is cleaner. Don’t waste your time on this place. Cora’s is 5 mins up the street and WAY better!
Don’t go. The chicken in my club was undercooked, the omelette my partner got was wet and gooey in the middle still. The home fries were cold and tasted like they had been sitting around since breakfast. Wait staff is somewhat unprofessional, friendly but like no one has any experience. 35 with tip for tea orange juice, coffee, a club sandwich and the sunset omelette. So many better and cheaper places to eat to bother with this highly mediocre place.
Great place to start your day if you’re in a hurry. When you are on the run and need a place to start the most important meal of the day, this is the place. Very efficient and friendly staff will get you on your way to the rest of your day. The decor is open concept, pine interior, wide bright windows and an excellent way to start your day.
Good Burger. I got the Banquet Burger meal as take out on a Saturday afternoon. I have to admit it was one of the best burgers I have had in years.I had the cheddar cheese option. You could actually taste the burger meat and it was a homemade pattie. The toppings and bun were fresh. They used a full slice of red onion. I was very large once you put it together which made for challenging eating but nothing a few napkins couldn’t fix.The homemade home-fries were a nice change instead of french fries. Nice chunks of potato fried up on a skillet instead of deep fried french fries.The rest of our orders included more burgers and pancakes which were all good as well. Each order was quite a bit of food (including children’s menu) and was more than enough for one meal.I did not have any contact with the staff or was I even inside so I can’t attest to some of the other reviews, however the food we received with this first order was good and would not object to going back to try again.
Like the food. Great food, Omelettes & peameal bacon are my favour. Good service
