Horrible. – Burger was burnt and small, probably the worst burger I have had in my life. – Beat salad was good but proportion small, plating was in a massive salad bowl and took only 1/4 of the volume- appetizer was caked in oil
Poor service. Recently my husband and I went to the Albion for drinks on a Friday night. When we arrived it was moderately busy, we ordered and our waitress returned with our drinks a few minutes later. After serving us our drinks we were completely ignored by the server. We waited to have our drinks refilled for close to an hour and watched the server as she proceeded to stand behind the bar talking to people or friends. My husband eventually approached another server at the bar who was available and attempted to order from him. Our original server walked over and interrupted. She took the order and rolled her eyes as she walked away. She plunked our drinks down without saying a word and walked back behind the bar. My husband had to then request the bill 30 mins later. She didn’t do a single service check nor was she friendly or hospitable. It was extremely disappointing service and very unlike our other Albion experiences. Needless to say we won’t be rushing back and if we do, we will avoid sitting in her section – if she’s even still employed there.
If you don’t buy alcohol you are sub-human. We went to the Albion for some drinks on their Martini night. I wish I could say they know how to make a martini, but they were all far too sweet, and our server got the first order mixed up and brought the wrong martinis back. This after waiting over 20 minutes for someone to take our order and then waiting another 15 minutes for the drink to arrive. After about a half hour we decided to order from their late night menu. When our waitress finally decided to come back and check on us, we began ordering our food, only to be told that the kitchen closed in 10 minutes and we were out of luck! At this point, I reminded our lovely waitress that the law says you have to have food if you are serving alcohol. She whisked off to speak to her manager, who instructed her to let us know that nuts and chips were available at the bar for us, and by the way, our friend who ordered the food (who by the way is allergic to alcohol) wasn’t drinking anyways so the law doesn’t apply. Wowza! My friends who were treated like sub-humans never went back.
Best deal on Friday. They serve a great burger and fries. On Friday the offer FREE mussels with you meal.
