Pretty decent burgers, a little more creative than the usual burger and fries… But you pay an arm and a leg for it. The service wasn’t memorable either, but the milkshakes are pretty awesome and the the consistency to the franchise is pretty good!
We weren’t planning on going here, but this was a nice alternative. Our originally intended restaurant had computer problems, and they were not serving lunch. I guess they don’t have a cash only back up plan. So we ended up at The Works instead. They have a lunch menu, where they offer about 8 of their more popular burgers, along with fries (or other side) and a drink, for $10.97. We’ve been to a few other locations, and SWMBO really likes SK8R Boy (with peanut butter; not for me). My choice was Dead Ringer, because I love onion rings and bacon. Our server was pleasant and attentive, elevating what was not our first choice for lunch.
So good!. I forget which burger I usually get, but eating here is always good. The interior of the restaurant is pretty cool and the milkshakes are a must try. I also love their poutine. I’ve gotten take out from here also and recommend sitting down to enjoy your burger and fries since they don’t fair too well once you get them home.
I did mean take out.. Autocorrect..01 Aug, 2013I really like dining in at this restaurant but to be honest their tale out is terrible! They tell you 20 minutes before its ready, even if you show up ten minutes early (as I’ve done lately) you still end up with mushy French fries and brown soggy lettuce on a gooey bun. Totally unappealing! For the price you pay, it should be perfection whether you’re dining in or out! I’ve ordered take out maybe 3 times in a week (I’ve been moving, zero cooking!) and I’m disappointed every time. I think my take out orders will have to go to another restaurant from now on.
Have been here a few times now and love it. The atmosphere is great and the service is friendly. The food is awesome. The burgers are always perfectly cooked and the combinations are very creative. I love the spicy die cut chips as the side to my burger. The gluten free buns which are offered are the best I have ever had. Overall a great experience.
Finally a real all beef hamburger in Canada – perfection great atmosphere and exceptional wait staff. So unless you think your burger needs all the fillers and spices a typical Canadian burger place offers, give this place a try!!!
