Terrible Service, food so so. From the moment we arrived at the door I felt rushed. The wait staff hovered as we were talking with our company and interrupted to ask if we were ready to order when we had not even opened the menus. We specifically asked to not have the main course brought out until all the appetizers were consumed. This did not happen! After our meals we asked if we could have coffee and drinks on the patio to which we were told there was only one table and it was being saved for customers who were coming and staying for a while. After a few minutes we again asked why, and we were then allowed to go to the patio to find 3 tables available. During this time the server rolled her eyes as if we were annoying her. Not impressed at all. It’s too bad that one staff member can almost ruin a good evening. Not tip was let by the way. This is the absolute first time in my life that I never have left a tip by the way! I had fish and chips and they gave me a gaseous bloated feeling. My main meal was not good. I won’t be going back.
We have been to many Turtle Jacks in the past .then we went to the one in Guelph and it was the worst one buy far waitress was as dumb as a stump took 30 minuts just to get a beer and the manager that was working on the 26th of July in yhe supper hour should be fired he could not manage a one man parade .
Horrible Service. Arrived at 12:05, 12:45 and still no food in front of me. Waitress said she would be back to take our order, after 15 minutes we had to wave her down. If they are going to serve lunch, they need to be mindful that most people either have a 30 minute or 60 minute lunch time duration. Ended up walking out and getting fast food. Very disappointing
Service was questionable to say the least. Food was pretty good, but the portion sizes were brutal. $17 for pasta and there was barely a handful of pasta in the bowl. Considering an entire bag of that pasta costs $0.99 at the grocery store, it would go a long way to fire a few more noodles in there at very little cost. Worse than the children sized portions, were a few of the staff (but not all)Specifically went to this bar to watch the game, and had to ask literally 4 different times before someone put it on the TV. Some of the female bartenders wouldn’t even look us in the eye while speaking, and took away both our beers and food without asking if we were done or wanted more. It was a mutual agreeance amongst our group, that no one will be returning to this location again.
Better than I expected. We just wanted some good quality chicken fingers. The negative feedback about this location’s speed of service made us apprehensive, but we decided to give it a try anyway. We were pleasantly surprised. Service was much faster than we had been led to believe, and staff were friendly and attentive. Maybe management has taken note of the reviews, or maybe we were just lucky. Either way the service was very good on this visit. As for the food, we both had the Buffalo chicken fingers, which were pretty tasty. This was exactly what we were looking for. Granted, chicken fingers and fries are simple and fast to make, and hard to mess up, but our overall experience left us agreeing to come back some time to try something more fancy.
Need lots of time. Food is ok. Service moves at a glacial pace. Very frustrating. Only go there now for drinks on the patio after work with the work crowd. There are better roadhouses in Guelph with similar menus to spend your money at.
Horrible service. Waitress was extremely slow, never refilled our drinks, forgor one of our meals and mixed up the credit cards for the bills (took atleast 30 min to get the bils in order after that). The meal that was forgotten was a fish and chips and it came out soggy to the point where we did not even eat the meal.NEVER EAT HERE
