We’ve been going to the Uptown for years now, it’s a hidden gem for super fast breakfast and service. The food is good but not like the bigger name places. The quality is sacrificed for speed, so if you just want food in you and your eggs done right the first time, but don’t really care about getting any fruit on your plate, then go here. It’s like a mom and pop place, so it’s not fancy, very down to earth. The only suggestion I would make to the owners would be to not allow their kitchen employees to smoke out the side door where every customer has to pass them and see them all there. I would make them leave the property or go out of site to smoke. It just makes the place look trashy.
I have been a couple of times in my own. The wait staff were warm & friendly. One of the old waitresses from Latino’s was there which was delightful. Basic breakfast food not WOW but good. Prices are good. Staff were eager to be accommodating and helpful. I’m sure I’ll go back again.
This place is huge once you get in! Very well organized, the food is good, the price are very fair. BUT, the main event it the eggs! They cooked them to perfection!! Great place to bring people along! Ps; the Benedict’s rocks, and the Benedict omelet also rules!!Thx for setting up shop in little Guelph! Word of mouth is strong in these parts !!Keep it up!!
