2017/11/17Great new place in Glen Williams, just outside Georgetown. Not sure what was there before it was renovated, but the Cooper Kettle Pub has a very warm, rustic charm. We happened to be seated near the fireplace, which made it even cozier. SWMBO ordered the Elora IPA Battered Fish & Chips. The fish was a large piece of Atlantic cod, light and flaky, in a crisp beer batter. The fries were fresh cut julienned potatoes, cooked just right, with a bit of crispness on the outside. The house-made tartar sauce had a pleasant tanginess. I chose the Smoked Salmon Wrap, which came with a salad. The Norwegian salmon tasted fresh and smoky. It was wrapped in a fresh, grilled tortilla, with salty capers, red onions, and creamy tzatziki. The green salad had lots of flavours and textures going on as well. Nice lunch!
