What a joke!! My fiance and I just ordered $40 worth of take out and what was given to us was barely enough to feed him let alone the 2 of us. The portion literally looked like $12 worth of food. We called to let them know and they told us those are their portion sizes and it adds up quickly… so basically too bad! It looked incredibly unappetizing and was so dry and just terrible all around. Will NEVER be going back here….. EVER and will deter people from wasting their time and money.

Not for me. Went to Hungry Hollow Smokehouse and Grille for lunch and was a bit disappointed. I got the beef brisket sandwich with fries and red beans and rice. First the good. They have a bbq sauce condiment bar with 6-8 different sauces. The two I tried were tasty – Applesmoked and KC iirc. The meat was tender and juicy. Now the not so good. The meat’s flavour counted on the sauce that was added to it. I don’t mind having sauce but the meat still needs a good stand alone flavour. The fries were way to salty and this from a guy who likes his fries salted. The red beans and rice was not anything close to your standard beans and rice. This was a big let down. It might say something about me that I really like Popeye’s Chicken’s red beans and rice. I tried my friends corn bread. It was ok but was too safe to stand out. IMO they could have took a chance with the corn bread like that did with the beans and rice even though the rice failed. I could eat that again but probably won’t go back.
Great BBQ. As a man that owns 2 BBQ’s and a smoker. I like this place when it’s too cold to cook outside. Brisket is fantastic and the pulled pork it delicious, I have enjoyed everything that I have tried. I think my favorite part is the assortment of BBQ sauces that are provided in the store.
Four of us went last night. Three had pulled pork and one had the beef brisket. Good portion sizes! The pulled pork was delicious! I was happy to have some leftover to bring home and eat for lunch today. Everyone loved all their food. The sides were great as well…highly recommend the potato salad. Yum! All in all, a must try if you like BBQ! Friendly staff as well.
Ribs dry, fries burnt. Ordered the ribs and they were so dry and overlooked, I couldn’t chew anymore to even finish them! The fries were also overcooked and many were burnt. Owner was a bit sarcastic when ordering, so I didn’t take the ribs back which I should have, as they were close to being unedible. The cornbread was also so dry I couldn’t eat it. Maybe just a bad day to go. We did try the burnt ends and they were good.
