I love pancakes and considering this place has the word pancake in it I had to try it. I went way out of wayto come hereand it was really busy when I arrived around 10am on a Sunday. They told us it would be a 20 minute wait but it ended up being an hour.. I must say this place has terrible service when it comes to turnover. I never think you should rush customers at any restaurant and they dont do that but after a party pays and leaves they take forever to clean and seat the next party. Quite honestly the hostess was doing a bad job and barely looked awake. They were NOT understaffed at all either. There were tons of servers taking their time and giggling with one another. Im pretty patient but there was at least 20 of us waiting and at one point and there were 4 tables cleaned and within 10 minutes no one was seated. This was really frustrating. Finally got a table I decided to go with the lumberjack breakfast which includes a bit of everything (eggs, bacon, sausage, home fries and pancakes and your choice of bread I also really like that you get some fruit on a skewer). I must say the rye bread was reallllly good and I liked the sausages. Eggs are eggs, bacon wasdecent too and so were the pancakes but nothing really blew me away or anything.. The pancakes tasted good but were really doughy and heavy and I didnt like that. The French toast was nice and had a hint of cinnamon.Overall it was good but I am never going out of my way to come here especially if I have to wait an hour again.. it really didnt meet my expectations and although it was good and the prices were as well the service needs to really improve.

Best breakfast place thus far. I had peaches & cream pancake and I’m not a pancake fan but I like it a lot. Mmm yummy. Service is good. Worth the drive. Wish it was closer to me.

So we found ourselves in Georgetown this afternoon; and there’s been a few changes to the town since I last was there. The Norval Pancake Factory is a well known establishment that I remember going to as a kid on the way to one of our local Conservation Areas (Terra Cotta). Since then, they’ve moved to a more central Georgetown location and I am no longer a kid on my way to Terra Cotta! On to the food: It was good.I had French Toast and Sausages and the Wife had Waffles and Sausages. My French Toast was nice and fluffy. The syrup added to the flavours of cinnamon. My sausages were OK, kinda generic and not the best flavour. The Wife’s waffles were crispy and light. Her sausages were similar to mine. The coffee was nice; would have liked a top up, though.Overall, a typical suburban restaurant/diner. Just wish the food was a little better. Go for an all day breakfast on the way to or from cottage country (or exploring the lovely town of Georgetown).

The Lumberjack. Big portion. My husband and I had to share. There was a line up and had to wait for about 10 to 15 minutes but it’s worth the wait. Staff were nice and friendly. Will go back again soon.

Disappointing. I was at the restaurant last summer. I returned with friends on Aug. 19/2014 We had pancakes and sausages with coffee. There were six pancakes as round as a bread plate about 1/4 inch thick and very heavy and coarse. They were tough . Three small overcooked sausages. The coffee was very strong. The service was good. The quality of food has changed dramatically. I saw the cook dressed in a dirty shirt and jeans, wonder if there are new owners. Place was not busy at 10 a.m.

Worth the drive for breakfast. Dropped by today for breakfast at about 6:45am. I was unsure as to what to expect this early in the morning as they were just opening and I was the only customer in the restaurant. Much to my surprise, the breakfast was fantastic. They immediately put a pot of coffee on and had a cup on my table before I made it back from the bathroom.I had the spicy sausage and hot pepper omelette. It was very good. And spicy. Not just a bit spicy, but very spicy. I even had to ask for some water. Breakfast, in general, does not need to he difficult. Fresh food, cooked fast and with simply side dishes is all it takes. Norval Pancake Factory did just that today. They are now open for dinner on Friday and Saturday evenings, so we are planning a dinner trip very soon. The dinner menu looked very good.
