FOOD:I had come here on a Tuesday afternoon at around 12:30 pm for lunch. I had settled on Sushi Lunch A, which came with 6 pieces of sushi, and 6 pieces of California Roll, along with miso soup and a green salad ($13.95). I was impressed with how delicious the miso soup tasted; it was hot (temperature-wise), and appetizing, with just the perfect amount of onions and tofu. Also, it was a large amount, which kept me warm and toasty. In terms of the green salad, I wasnt too keep on the lettuce as it looked to be red leaf lettuce, which didnt really go well with the type of dressing. Also, the pieces were a bit too large, making it difficult to eat.In terms of the sushi pieces, they looked appetizing however, when I had picked them up, they always broke. Either the fish part came off of the rice, or the rice broke in half; Im not sure why this was always the case. Otherwise, the sushi pieces tasted good, and fresh, which was what I liked. In terms of the California Roll, the pieces of this roll were nicely shaped, and they were also quite large. I also liked how fresh they tasted, and were impressed at how aesthetically pleasing they looked as well. Overall, the food was pretty good, except for the green salad, which I wasnt too keen on.ATMOSPHERE:When I had walked into this restaurant, I was impressed with how beautiful the decor was; from various cups and saucers, to dolls and wall ornaments, I enjoyed looking at the different Japanese pieces. I also liked the booths with the small cushions, which made it comfortable to sit on. The music was also pleasing, as it was classical music, which relaxed me during my meal. I noticed that the restaurant was divided into two sections, with one in the back being divided by a small door that was left open. There were also tables that were closed-off with a curtain which I found to be nice and private. The restaurant itself was also very clean and well-organized.SERVICE:Upon walking into the restaurant, I waited at the front where the sushi chef saw me standing. The server was busy taking an order therefore, the sushi chef told me to take a seat anywhere that I wished. After sitting down for a few moments, the server came over and handed me a menu. He was really nice, and even came to ask me how I was liking my meal as I was eating. He had a very kind demeanour, and it was easy to ask him questions; great service!COST:1 Sushi Lunch A ($13.95 + Tax) = $15.76 WOULD YOU RETURN?If I am in the area again, I would most definitely give them a try as I enjoyed my visit for the most part.
Very good Japanese food and an even better atmosphere. Some of the tables are their own private rooms. One of Georgetown’s best kept secrets.
Very friendly staff, fresh and delicious food, and a clean environment. I’m not big on Japanese food but everything I’ve tries here is delicious. Absolutely no complaints!
The best place in town.. Although there is another Sushi place in Georgetown now. This is the place to go if you want good food. I go to both. But if I want good sushi, I go here every time. They have always been good. I have been going there since it opened. I hope they will keep there business with the new place in town. It is very good I think because the size of the fish you get in ever order is a lot and in ratio with the rice it is perfect. You taste the difference when you go here. The all you can eat is like store bought sushi a little. Please keep going here. I’ve been to many sushi places in the area and downtown Toronto and the quality of the food here is top notch.
Wow the food is great who would have thought Georgetown would have a great Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere is inviting the service is good.Try the surf & turf roll
