Terrible Customer Service. Unfortunately I waited an additional 30 minutes in the parking lot because my pizza was not ready on time. Then after waiting that 30 minutes I walked in the store only to see them starting to cook my pizza now and they asked me to to wait another 15-20 minutes. I dont know who has 50 minutes to wait in a parking lot for a pepperoni pizza. If I was given compensation for waiting that long, I would return again. Sadly they were dumbfounded when I asked for my refund, gave me the money and took the pizza out of the oven, took the pepperonis off and were using it for their next order. I wont be going back.
Great little mom & pop stop! My wife and I were recommended to this restaurant from a coworker. We were not disappointed. As we have only tried the panzarotti, we still can’t get enough of this place. Fair warning: BIG PORTIONS – A small pazarotti is enough for the two of us.
I decided to give this place a try as I was in the mood for Italian but didn’t want the generic franchise Italian-in-a-bag made with frozen pasta portions. I’m not really sure where all the positive reviews came from. The food was just ok. I would agree – massive portion sizes but almost too big. I decided to throw the food on a scale because I was surprised how heavy it was. 3.5 lbs for my entree and 3 lbs for my wife. So if value for money is important to you, this is a better deal than going to somewhere like East Side Mario’s. Ordered chicken, got veal. It was very dry and the portion of meat was pretty disappointing. Wife had lasagne which was pretty massive and tasted ok, but I’ve had better. I also found it surprising that they advertised authentic Italian food but the Caesar salad was served with store bought dressing and artificial bacon bits. Pretty disappointing. Maybe I watch too many episodes of Kitchen Nightmares or Hells Kitchen but this food was just boring. Huge portions don’t make up for ‘meh’ taste. I will agree that the staff were all friendly and nice. This place has potential if they return to authentic Italian roots.
Best take out in the city!!!! The food is always fantastic. Best bruschetta I have ever had! The price is more than reasonable… Huge portions… The only thing better than the food is the friendly service! It is always a pleasure going into Alfredo’s place… Whether its to pick up food for 20 or for 1.. I can’t say enough great things about this place. I lived down the road from there for years and passed by a million times and it wasn’t until my mum heard from a friend they had good food. We checked it out and it became an instant favorite! From picking up dinner on the way home from work- to per-ordering dinner for a family function- Alfredo’s Place continues to deliver great homemade Italian food with amazing service! Best pasta and pizza in town and the best bruschetta I have EVER had! For $4.75 you HAVE to try it!!!
