  I love this place! We served their cupcakes at our wedding and they were delicious! We had many compliments. They were easy to work with and the tasting was informative, efficient and delicious. We also drop in for sandwiches, baked goods and coffee. It’s our favourite cafe. Highly recommend it!

  Disappointed, and paid too much.. Ordered custom cookies and cupcakes for my son’s birthday because the bakery was recommended, but my order turned out wrong and I waited 40 minutes when I went to pick it up because they re-did parts of it twice. I still wasn’t happy with the final product I left with but I was running out of time and the person I ordered it with wasn’t even there to figure out where the miscommunication happened. Then they couldn’t figure out if it was paid for or not, despite the word PAID in capital letters at the top of the order. I was extremely frustrated by the poor communication, and also the poor quality of the goods they tried to send me home with. The cupcakes were iced in the wrong colour so they said they would fix them, 10 minutes later they returned with the same cupcakes with the old original icing (mostly) scraped off and new icing on top, with old icing sticking out from underneath. I had to wait again while they iced new cupcakes, I was shocked they had tried to give me the embarrassing ones. The cookies also had icing that had run down the sides and back, some looked very sloppy. And they certainly were not cheap so I expected excellent quality. Highly disappointed! I’m sure they have excellent baked goods in the front of the store and are good for coffee and treats, but as far as custom orders go I won’t go back, and won’t recommend it to friends.

  The best sweets in Hamilton. This is a great bakery, offering good bread and prepared food and what are by far the best pastries in Hamilton (their pastries would be outstanding anywhere, but stand out even more given our city’s lacklustre bakeries). Their baked goods are always extremely fresh, well-made, and beautifully presented. Be forewarned: this is a very small bakery that only sells its products to go; there is no room for sitting and eating. Their selection is never big, and they tend to run out of many items before the end of the day. That said, the selection always caters to people with a range of tastes and dietary needs, and changes to showcase seasonal fruit and vegetables and to reflect upcoming holidays (truffles at Valentine’s day, etc.). Even their vegan sweets are genuinely delicious. You can tell that they use quality ingredients and are skilled at their art. The decor is lovely, as is the packaging on special-occasion products (jams, small cookies, etc.). If you haven’t been here, you should.

  Addicted. They sell out of most stuff daily, sell and serve good Detour coffee, their cinnamon rolls are amazing.. pizza buns too. Whats probably the best though (that I have tried so far) is the chicken pot pie. The pastry is frigging amazing, top that off with high quality ingredients and some magical recipe and you’ve got one heck of a pie. If you are put off by the price of the large ones try a small one and you’ll be sold. I’ve had to ration myself because I’ve been visiting too often.

  Everything was delicious!. We ordered a few squares and bread. The orange chocolate loaf was delcious and made our house smell incredible when toasted. The brownie was decandent and rich. The strawberry lemon cake was moist, light with the flavours of summer. The raspberry lemon square was tart and delicious, almost tasting of rhubarb. W will be back again.
