First time in to this restaurant. Went there for lunch with my sister in law. We did not even have our order taken till after 20 minutes of waiting. We both ordered Halibut one piece. Came with coleslaw and fries. Coleslaw was very plain. If there was a dressing on it, you couldn’t taste it. Chips were ok. The halibut…..over cooked and dry. Don’t ruin good halibut! Its expensive and needs to be served moist. Won’t be back.

Also ordered deep fried pickles and they were gross. Did not finish any of our food except the chips. Tarter sauce was gel like in a package not good for a fish and chips place. Not sure how old was so didn’t eat.
Price Hike for Good Friday. The only item available today was Halibut with a 75 cent increase from what was stated on the menu. Placed an order for 2 orders of fish & chips. Wrapped in two separate boxes…a decent amount of chips but only three pieces of fish. For $12.81 per order, this was not worth the money. A bit on the greasy side as my lips feel they were rubbed in lard. I will not be going back to Harry’s, not worth the $$
Bad experience!!! Theses people ripped me off!!!. My girlfriend and I ordered 6 haddock fish and chips for take out today March 10th 2015 at approximately 3:00pm and the girl asked if its ok if they could seperate the fish from the fries, I didn’t mind so I let them. I saw her prepare one large box and 3 smaller boxes. As a fellow restaurant employee, I figured that the large box was for all the fries/chips and the 3 smaller ones are for the fishes. Went home and opened the fries/chips box and two of the smaller boxes which contains 4 pieces of fish each box. Assuming that in each order of haddock and chips that there’s 2 pieces of fish (every fish and chips I’ve been to does so), I figured the 4th box contained 4 more pieces of fish. Doing the math, each order = 2 fishes and because I bought 6 orders that should be 2×6=12 pieces divided by 3 boxes = 4 is it not? Well the 3rd small box contains fries/chips!! Where are my other 2 orders!? It’s my first time ordering from this 5 star rated fish and chips restaurant and I got robbed!? And for those who would say I didn’t get robbed, explain to me how is 6 orders of haddock and chips has only 8 pieces of fish!? That doesn’t make any senseP.s. My receipt reads as follows…Haddock & chips 6 @ $8.19 $49.14Tax1. $3.93Tax4. $2.46Amount. $55.53Tip. $8.33Total. $63.86
Delicious. Probably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had.i ordered the halibut and fries. I ordered take out. The fish was battered and fried in front of me. Nice and fresh. Very tasty. Batter wasn’t heavy. Fries were yummy. Fast service. Lots of space to dine in, although it was a Friday night and busy.
I’ve had the halibut here twice now and will definitely be going back. The batter is crisp and is not too thick or too thin. The fries are excellent and the poutine even better. The decor is in need of updating, but don’t let it put you off, the food is great!
Amazing place! Great service and melt in your mouth fish. Not sure you could make fish and chips better.
