Mediocre food + bad service = a miss. We only go as there aren’t a lot of options for dim sum in Hamilton. However, lately there is a young waiter who is ridiculously rude. I assume he’s related to the owner, as he would have been canned by any other establishment. Other staff is hit-or-miss in terms of service quality.
Good. Food is okay… place needs a touch up although portions are very generous.
AUTHENTIC CHINESE FOOD. This is my new favourite Chinese restaurant, since Hunan House closed. The food is authentic Chinese food, delicious, hot, and lots of it. I’m vegetarian and they always remember me when I come and alter the food to omit meat or fish.If you want to know if an ethnic restaurant is good, see who eats there. Harvest Moon has a lot of Chinese clientele. I highly recommend it if you don’t want gelatinous, dayglo red sauce on your food.

Harvest Moon Restaurant, Hamilton, Ontario.. Excellent authentic Chinese cuisine! I drive an hour just to get there, simply THE BEST around! Tim, the owner, makes sure you are satisfied with you meal and gets to know you himself. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. If you are tired of ‘fast food’ chinese food, then give Harvest Moon a try. You will not be disappointed!!
