The service was fantastic. The waitress was super nice. She was always asking if we needed anything extra and if we need refills. The food was really good. It was clean. Very lively. Would love to go back there again.
Tonight my family decided to pop into this neighbourhood bar for wing night Wednesday- 2-4-1.Atmosphere- This place was packed at 5 pm. Almost every table filled. Our noses were immediately hit with the pleasant aroma of barbecue sauce in the air , every table covered in baskets of wings. ALLERGY ALERT! There was a large metal garbage pail full of peanuts in their shells. SAFETY ALERT! Shells all over the floor to slip on. I have never seen the appeal of this practice. Walls covered in painted walls with silhouettes of cowboy scenes. They were really neat and added the touch of country.Food- We started with the barbecue chicken feta bruschetta – sounds great but tastes even better. The flavours sang in my mouth together. The top was loaded with everything. My family fought over the 2 extra pieces and sadly, I lost out. I would come back just for that so we were off to the races. Our mains included-1) dusted honey garlic wings- really good flavour but they definitely came from a bunch of tiny chickens. One of the wings was the smallest I have ever seen. So, actually a double order was comparable to only a little over one and a bit anywhere else. ( two pounds- ha!) 2) Apache burger with swiss cheese and mushrooms- loved the burger but the bun was big and cold. A better option would have been to toast it. 3) Hamburger- My husband also didn’t like the bun choice. Both daughter and husband only ate bottom half. 4) Buffalo chicken wrap- this was brought out after all the meals were eaten due to a mistake on waitresses part. It was actually delicious. It came with fries that were hot and good but not ordered. Sides included-1) broccoli tortellini cream soup- Good but not enough broccoli. 2) caesar salad – not bad 3) house salad- really good with a variety of veggies. 4) fries- excellent although no one at table wanted them.Service- Waitress was friendly, quick to order, and we were served fast ( with exception to one meal) but did not come back until near the end of the meal. When a sald came out my daughter questioned the server because she asked for the salad to be the side to her wrap instead it came alone. She was told it was the side. Then the wrap never came. Waitress misunderstood and thought caesar was overriding the wrap order which is understandable. The problem with this was no compensation happened and we were charged for the wrap AND an extra salad. The wrap came when all other meals were finished . this should have been a top request in the kitchen and I feel that it was not. Waitress actually said when she brought it that maybe she would like to take it home!.Impression- I will go back for wing special night and that awesome brochetta.
