Ordered a pizza for take out and the only thing I really liked was the crust, because it is baked in a fire oven it definitely has a better flavour. Other than that the mozzarella did not taste fresh at all and was mushed all over the pizza, the sauce tasted like pasta sauce and the basil was cut so thin and over cooked that I could not taste it at all. I’m sure they have the ability to make better pizza, but just was not high quality fire oven baked pizza. Have tasted much better
So i finally had a chance to go here a few weeks ago, with a large party during the week. There was 10 of us, and we all ordered a wide variety of items.Atmosphere – Totally bar-like and not a restaurant. Expect to be bombarded by Tv Screens a la a sports bar. Clean and tidy, still looks new, but overall, nothing special. Being able to watch the pizzas made and seeing the over in the open is a nice touch.Food – We split Pizza, Onion rings and a some sort of cranberry(?) salad. For the Pizza, that they seem to be well known for – Terribly disappointed. Ordered the ABC which everyone raves about, and added Bacon, decent crust, decent toppings, but no better than the average thin crust you can get at any pizzeria. The Onion rings were fine, though not special. The salad was terrible. Almost sent it back, but realized this was how it was supposed to taste. Several people had hamburgers which were well received.Service – Quick efficient and courteous. Everyone working there was extremely young, the kid making our pizza was a teenager. While that’s not a big deal, I cant help but think it had something to do with the quality of the food. After hearing so much about this place, we will definitely not be back. The combination of basic, uninspired food and the onslaught of TV screens make this place a no go.
Service is very good; it’s kid friendly. The salad was too small for the money we paid. Pizza crust was to die for but we thought the toppings were very little and didn’t cover most of the pizza. We also ordered the fried chicken sandwich with the potato wedges; no complaints there it was so good. Overall good food, friendly atmosphere and cool vibe.
Came here hungry and wanting to watch game 7 of nba finals. The food was great and prices were very affordable. You will not find an $11 pizza of that quality anywhere else. The $1.50 oysters were fresh and delicious.Good drink menu. Nice patio. Lots of tvs at just the right volume to enjoy the game and still be able to talk. Excellent service.
Went here with my dining group tonight. I was a little upset before even going here because we had planned on taking a birthday cake ( and 12 diners paying for a meal each} I was told it would cost us $2 each to plate the cake ( even if we supplied paper plates and forks! Really?Atmosphere- Brand new beautiful building on Rymal road very close to State and Main and Burger Priest. Clean lines, beautiful bar, and uncomfortable hard wooden chairs. I think it is a shame they did not build a patio for this nice place.Food- It was Wings Wednesday ( 1/2 price) and no one at my table ordered them but other tables did and they looked amazing. Apps- 1) Caesar salad- with fried capers instead of bacon – What a great idea and I loved them. 2) Rocket salad- Very fresh and lemony dressing on arugula. 3) carrot soup- Awful with a capital A. Iy was unanimous that they should never serve that soup again. Pizzas- 4) ABC- Absolutely loved it . Apples, balsamic glaze and cheese what a great taste on a pizza.5) Cured- Very good but definitely order extra cheese because there really was not a lot found on it. (Love olives and proscuitto combo. 6) Sanfrandisco- seafood pizza – Hot and spicy and excellent. 7) Nutty pig- Walnuts and pork on a pizza? Crazy sounding but great tasting. 8) Mona Lisa- Good reports. And 1 pasta dish- Markey Mark- Spicy and very good. Dessert( only 1 ordered)- An apple crisp and maple cream and pancetta- wonderful. We chose not to bring a cake because of the cost this place wants to charge to bring it to the restaurant. but they gave our birthday girl a cookie with nutella that she enjoyed. I want to note that because of the restaurant rules we only had 3 orders for coffee or tea. Had we brought the cake in almost everyone would have ordered one. Their loss.Service- We had a fantastic young bubbly girl named Amanda. Lovely. Our mrals were served hot and quick as well.Impression- I will be back but not for a birthday dinner ( usually a big group) because I like taking my own home made cake.
