This place is excellent. I ordered on a whim after moving to the area, and Shanghai quickly became my favorite for Chinese delivery. REALLY fast (20-25m every time I’ve ordered), very polite drivers and phone staff, GREAT food. Always arrives hot, and the wonton soup is one of my favorites – and I’m picky with my wonton soup. 🙂 I’m gonna keep ordering from Shanghai for as long as they let me.
It’s been over 30 years since I discovered this business and I don’t remember how it came about, but it remains a fond memory. since I moved away from Hamilton in the early 80s. . I’m sure that there has been changes in ownership, management, personnel, etc., but one thing has remained the same are the egg rolls. Oh, they’ve become somewhat smaller than what I originally remember, but the filling’s taste and the wrapper’s texture are just the same. Every time that I return to Hamilton, I make a concerted effort to acquire a dozen of those little gems. I’ve enjoyed a wide selection of items from the menu, but the egg rolls have kept me coming back on the rare occasions when I’m passing through Hamilton.

An hour and forty minutes.. I ordered in from this restaurant and they told me it would be delivered to me in one hour. It took them and hour and forty minutes. I phoned them after and hour and ten minutes to see where my order was and they promised me I would be receiving it in ten minutes. Long story short it didn’t show up in ten minutes, and when it did show up I had already ordered and received food from another restaurant. I told the delivery guy to return the order. NOT impressed and will never order for Shanghai again.
Service is crap. This boy that works there needs an additude adjustment! Foods good but his service just ruined the whole experience…..
The younger male who works at this restaurant is nothing but rude and short with me. I just ordered food from there because yes it is good, but it took a lot for me to bite my tongue. I suggest you only order from here if you’re willing to be spoken down to!
