  Found this place when I was visiting Hamilton. Great low key atmosphere, friendly staff and the Sunday brunch – Pulled pork eggs benny – was amazing! So I went back a couple days later and had one of their monster sandwiches. Will be going again next time Im in town.

  I give a 5 for the friendly people who work there and the fast service. Not the food. Food is a 1.5. I tried this for the first time last night. I usually go to Rolly Rockets for my bbq but wanted to try something new. I should have just went to Rollys. My boyfriend and I got the 3 meat/3 side sampler platter. The pulled pork was FATTY. So fatty…one of the worst pulled pork I have ever tasted. The ribs were dry and honestly just disgusting. The burnt ends could be comparable to a leather shoe. The mac and cheese was soggy, mushy and greasy complete with overcooked noodles.(The Chuck Beans and Hush Puppies were absolutely delicious though! The only thing I liked and was able to eat. )I am so dissapointed what a waste of money. The food went mostly uneaten by both of us. We were pretty disgusted. And having to pay over $40 for something we absolutely couldn’t eat is ridiculous.I would not recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy. Seriously.

  Service was friendly. Food is delicious. I recommend this to everyone and bring family and friends who visit from out of town. Price is reasonable with large portions. You won’t leave hungry. I recommend the platter so you can try multiple things.

  Since I’m one to make my own opinion of a restaurant, I’m glad I didn’t go by the previous review. I’m unclear why anyone would compare one family owned restaurant, with 2 unique concepts to each other. AtmosphereThe overwhelming aroma of BBQ pleasantly invites you inside. The promote this as a Fast Casual Cafeteria style restaurant, and thats what it is exactly. It totally reminds of the BBQ joints I have visited in the south. No fuss, no muss, just good BBQ. MenuThe menu offers a wide selection of Southern favourites such as Mac & Cheese, ribs, fried chicken, brisket and hush puppies to name just a few. Although I’m a carnivore it is so nice to see that they have several vegetarian options as opposed to the usual fries and salad. We ordered the Sampler Platter and WOW, 3 meats and 3 southern sides for $30, how can you go wrong. We got ribs, fried chicken & burnt ends and their Mac, Hush puppies and slaw (we needed a vegetable of some sort). The flavour and taste were amazing. It’s hard to pick a favourite, as they all can stand on their own. ServiceThe cashier was knowledgable of the menu, and was polite and efficient. The guys behind the counter looked like they loved what they did, and we fun and friendly when they called out our orders. I noticed that every table was checked on while I was there, including mine to ensure we were happy with the food. BeerI always love seeing local craft breweries on tap, and then being strongly represented. It’s a nice touch to have Labbat’s too, gotta love 50 being on tap. I look forward to returning to try the rest of the menu.

  The whole experience was awesome and the food deliciously plentiful! Mike and the gang did it up ‘smoking’ in their truest form! Sampler platters the way to go especially if you are with a group of friends and want to enjoy a bit of everything. Would have given a 5, but alas they don’t take reservations… hopefully one day they will :-). Can’t wait to go back and do it all over again!
