  Most unprofessional little restaurant. Like most I myself enjoy an amazing breakfast in the morning but this breakfast place is the most unprofessional little restaurant I have been to. I am very unpleased with the service, the food and drinks. Walked in seated myself was served a bottle of expired juice with a smile from the server after she tried to shake up the drink, right away from working the the food industry for 5years I knew there was something wrong i looked at the cap clear as day the drink expired in may’2016 . I had to explain to the server how to read expire dates. She did not believe me she tried to say it was backwards. Till her worker had to point out there was more expired drinks they were serving to customers and charging us. After there drink indecent they ignored me the rest of my time there to a point I asked a server fof Jam for my toast and he informed me he could not help me and when another customer asked for cream that same server help him right away.. while a sat there waiting for anyone help.

  Breakfast after a long night of drinking at Steve’s are one of our traditions. Great big portions at fair prices. The resto brings you to the 60s diner feel, and even when there are a lot of people for breakfast the service still pulls it off and impresses with quick service. Only complaint is that the washroom could get a little too dirty and smelly. I would recommend their steak and eggs.

  I am that cook. I am the guy. Some people just aren’t satisfied with their meals and I get it. If you aren’t satisfied with your meal the staff at Steves is more than happy to fix any problems. The account of what really happened that day has been altered by the individual, making him look like some sort of victim. In regards to the alleged hurling of insults this poor soul had to endure, it seems strange that it took a 2 block stroll to realize he had been called a D!ck. Seems after telling me how to do my job and then being corrected by the staff he was a little embarrassed. And came up with this little tale to save face. After throwing his meal back on the counter 15 minutes later and refusing to accept a full refund, I simply followed him outside and asked him to go back inside and get his money back. There was no satisfying this disgruntled man and I think he was a little too embarrassed to set foot in the restaurant after his little outburst. So Mr. City worker I say to you .. I will personally give you your $12 back. You know where I am 730 – 245 Saturday to Tuesday. It’s a cute little story but you and I and about 60 other people that were there that day know it’s make believe.

  HAMILTON GEM. One of those old-fashioned places where you can still sit at the counter and watch the cook make your order – it’s nice to be able to chat with the friendly people who make your food. Food is good, typical breakfast fare. Daily specials can be outstanding – watch for the home-made soups. Nice that there are some healthy options too like smoothies & a real fruit cup. If you walk in, though, and it’s really busy, don’t bother staying unless you’re not in a hurry. They only have a small staff and can’t handle a huge lunch rush quickly. Other than that, this is a unique old-school Hamilton dining experience. Enjoy.

  Terrible place!! Food is greasy I asked for eggs hard she brought over easy then took it back brought back the hash browns toast and bacon then brought the eggs later, the eggs had shells in them and it took a really long time to get a coffee refill. Bad customer service and bad food I will not return
