Bought their french macarons, too bad they were hard as rocks. Couldn’t even bite through it, I had to throw them out. They must have been sitting out there for days.
Ugh don’t even bother. I don’t even think they use butter in their icing, whatever they use makes it slightly weird and oily, perhaps they use shortening or lard??? They try to balance it out by making the icing too sweet, and the cake is alright-ish. Go to the place across the street.
Okay so after such a bad experience at the Sweetness Barkery we tried the one in Burlington and they were delicious. Actually we did a cupcake taste off between all the cupcake places in Hamilton, Burlington and Waterdown and Sweetness Bakery in Burlington was the clear winner.04 Feb, 2012I was really disappointed with these cupcakes. My mom picked them up for a celebration with my son (6 cupcakes for $17 ish) and they were dry and crumbly. For the price they should be amazing and with so many cupcake places in the area, they can’t afford to turn out bad product. However, the icing was delicious!
