I have been to Swiss Chalet so many times and never really liked the food. The one in downtown hamilton (I think York st) has made me very sick after each time I ate there. I got a wrap at the one near eastgate and it was ice cold and I assumed it had been made earlier in the day. My friends chicken pot pie was similar in look and taste to a frozen pie you can buy in any grocery store for cheap. Food is gross, service is not great. Would not recommend
We just got take out from Upper James, worst dinner we’ve ever had from this chain. The fries were under cooked and cool, and seemed to be sitting in water. The chicken was nearly tasteless, my wife’s chicken had blood at the bone. My daughter got a wrap which when ordered, the clerk was told THREE times ‘no bacon’, and yes, it had bacon. They mixed up mine and my wife’s order, switching the quarter and half pieces of chicken. A call was made to the manager and he wouldn’t do much of anything, telling us to call tomorrow. I’d travel a lot farther just to avoid this particular franchise!

Disaster. First mistake, ordered for delivery. Ordered messy chicken sandwich, 1/2 rack ribs, 1/4 chicken white, perogies, chicken soup, Lemonade, ginger ale and 2 pieces of pie. Arrived after 1 hour ..Messy chicken sandwich..had NO gravy!..the breast of chicken was slapped between 2 pieces of bread not sliced nothing. The fries we raw..pale not cooked and cold. The perogies, cold the ribs and chicken cold..the lemonade not delivered substituted with Iced tea. I called the customer service line..the gentleman offered a credit..obviously I turned it down. said if I could wait another hour they would send out more food..again..not acceptable..requested a full refund. After fighting with several people eventually was told if I went tot he restaurant they would give me a refund. No apology was forthcoming. Went elsewhere and had a nice dinner for 45.00 as opposed to the 60.00 spent at Swiss Chalet..would NOT recommend this location.
