Thought the gravy they gave with the sandwich should be more of a au jus instead it’s a beef gravy more suitable for french fries or mashed potatoes. Might as well go to the store and buy your own roast beef and make the sandwich at home. It would be cheaper. Only upside is that it is open pretty late and the staff is friendly.
Yum! I love the roast beef sandwiches, and poutine. Another fave is the ham and Swiss. I haven’t tried much else. The gravy is delicious. The restaurant is very clean, the food comes quick. Occasionally the fries are way too greasy and I think it is due to the oil not being heated enough in the fryer. Once I got some really rancid ketchup but I told the owner and this hasn’t happened again. I go here often. It’s not fine dining or anything, it is basic food. But very good and far better than any fast food chain. Pricing is low and on par with fast food chains, making it a better and healthier option. Do try it if you enjoy basic yet delicious food.
Sounds like I’m the only one who goes for Gyro’s…. I’ve been going there for 10 years and while I have heard time and time again that their roast beef sandwich isn’t as good as it used to be, they have not changed their Gyro recipe (for the better). It’s a tasty, creamy, salty, and greasy meal all in one. I know very few people who are immune to the Gyros’ hypnotic allure, and each of them are hollow, empty, soulless humans. Yeah, I’m talking about YOU, Adrian! The price for one Gyro is decently higher and are smaller than the Gyro’s you can get around town (Greek Palace on John; My Buddy’s on Fennell, etc.), but they are still tasty nonetheless. If you’re in the Westdale area and it’s late at night, I always recommend their Gyro. Get a second for breakfast tomorrow and only get onions and tsaziki on it, microwave it, and you’re golden!
