Travelled here one night based on the name and decent reviews for their other location. Essentially just another fast food restaurant a notch above Wendy’s and other similar outlets. The service was quick but careless, and the food was decent but uninspired. No reason to ever return here, once you’ve tried it, you will move on. Plenty of better burger joints in the hammer that are better than this, I wouldn’t waste your time here.
I was excited to try this place. I had heard about it and actually looked forward to its opening. I went for lunch with my husband and ordered the California Classic (single) and he chose the ‘What’s Right’ combo. The restaurant is small… Almost too small but there are a few tables if you want to eat in. You don’t get the option, they give you your meal in a take-out bag. We dined-in which is a good thing as they forgot to give us the cookie (included in the combo) which was soft and chewy. I honestly can’t say how the double cheeseburger was in the ‘what’s right’ combo but I can say the California Classic is WAY too greasy. I guess I should have known – it is a cheeseburger ‘sangwiched between two buttered buns’ but c’mon! This was ridiculous. It was so greasy I couldn’t or didn’t want to even finish it – and I have been known to kill a greasy burger. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this restaurant.
OMG!!! The burger so damn juuuiiccey!!! I ordered fiery furnace double patty, fresh tasting ingredients far better than the works on upper James. My favourite gourmet burger in Hamilton are Chuck’s burger bar and finally found one that meet my expectations of the burger. Don’t have to drive all the way to Locke street. Worth your money, recommend you go to the burger’s priest over the works trust me!!!
