I wouldn’t recommend eating here, it’s good for just hanging out and drinking, but the food is less than subpar. The fries are okay, the poutine is made with gravy and shredded cheese (not cheese curds). The mozzarella sticks and chicken fingers were standard. But the worst part was the burger – it was deep fried. It was all dry and crispy and looked very unappealing. You can see into the kitchen when you walk to the back patio and it’s the size of a closet. After working in multiple kitchens myself, I would never eat anything from this place.

This is the best place in Hamilton for beer!If you love good beers (tripels, special beers, dark beers, strong beers) from all over the world, GO HERE!Also, they have very reasonable prices for the beer.Food? It’s a pub! Don’t expect a fancy meal, you’re not in a restaurant…I had chili fries there, and they were just good pub grub.For the staff, friendly, hard working people! This place makes you feel like you’re over at a friend’s place (a friend with a very good taste in beer 😉 )
Best. Craft. Beer. Ever.. Just about the best selection of craft brews around, not many places like it. 23 taps on a constant rotation with several mainstays. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable of their products and how to match someone’s taste in beer. Current on-tap favourites: Spearhead Belgian Stout, Dead Elephant (so good), and the Twice as Mad Tom double IPA is delicious. A regular on tap is Delerium, at 9.5% it goes down remarkably smooth and almost has a sweet wine-like taste while still keeping a beer consistency. Food-wise it is standard pub-fare, delicious Yam Fries with chipolte mayo. The $20 combo platter will easily fill 3-4 hungry mouths with an assortment of fried indulgences.

Go for the beer!. I go here all the time, but I’ve never eaten a thing because they have one of the best selection of draught beer in Hamilton! The taps always seem to be rotating and changing and I love that about this place! You can try beers from breweries you don’t normally find on tap too much around Hamilton, like Wellington, Grand River, Black Oak, Railway City, and the last time I was in there they had some nice Belgians on offer as well. They’ve got a beer engine and in theory will have a cask on, but this isn’t always the case. You can see some great musicians play here as well. Great pub!
