Don’t go there for the food… It’s really a upscale looking middle age suburban singles bar. Been there twice, December 2014 for an xmas party and Feb 2015 for Valentines.I have absolutely nothing against middle age suburban singles bars, but this place is also trying to pass itself as an equally upscale hip restaurant and it’s not.The only thing good of our $170 valentines dinner for two was the dessert. Everything else was between ‘ok’ and bland. My wife asked for salt for her bland meal and they brought a small dish with two open bowls, one salt and the other pepper along with a spoon. How are you supposed to lightly sprinkle salt on your plate with a small desert spoon? A glaring example of trying too hard to be cool but failing to execute. Even worse the waitress came back to take it to the next table with the same spoon- GROSE!Besides this the entire place was freezing cold. Guys were giving their dates their jackets etc. We asked to sit away from the windows but could not be moved even though there were a number tables that stayed unoccupied the entire time we were there.Consider yourself warned!
6/10 for food, 8/10 for atmosphere. Dinner was a little pricey, and the service was reasonable, the server forgot a few things but they had quite a few large groups so it’s understandable. I don’t know if I would drive out here again specifically for Ivy. Nice decor and ambiance.
Bad food- Slow service- Zero Hospitality- Way too expensive. I had a party at this resturant- hopeless, never go here!Never ever!Waste of money- they don’t even cater to unsatisfied customers or complaints-BS- never go there.
What a disappointment!. A group of us went to the Sunday brunch in mid December. I have been to the brunch on a number of occasions in the past, but not recently. My disappointment came from the fact that the variety of the offerings has been cut back significantly turning Ivy’s offering into another ho hum Sunday brunch.
Disappointing brunch. It’s a beautiful restaurant but brunch is awful, it’s completely over priced ($29 I think) for what’s being serving. The selection was odd and not much to choose from. The food was either cold, mushy, stale – almost as if they were serving leftovers from the last 2 weeks. And i don’t understand the tiny plates. The servers were nice but kind of awkward, they were constantly hovering wanting to take your plates away, It’s too bad, it’s a nice place but definitely NOT the ‘best brunch place in Burlington’
This restaurant is what makes people hate eating in the suburbs. An all in one restaurant that seeks to convey quality by the exorbitantly high prices it charges for food that resembles fast food fare. The hamburger was a frozen thin pattie sandwiched between a recently defrosted egg bun, while the halibut was dry, over cooked, under seasoned and was presented an oil soaked slice of egg plant. The ambiance itself reminded me of something approaching a zoo of lava life, plenty of fish and tinder rejects. If the food doesn’t make you want to throw up, the cellulite on these over the hill wannabe cougars certainly will…
Best Patio in Burlington. I went for dinner last week to Ivy Bar + Kitchen with my Husband and we decided to sit on the Patio since the weather was nice. The patio is gorgeous, it has two bars, different styles of seating, Cabanas, a fireplace, umbrellas and trees. I can’t believe something like this exists in Burlington! I ordered the Chef’s Special and my Husband ordered off of the Regular Dinner Menu, our server was efficient, happy and accommodating. Our food came out shortly after ordering and we decided to stay and listen to the live music and enjoy a few more bottles of wine! I was very happy with the service, food and atmosphere! I will definitely be back and will be telling my friends about this gem hidden in Burlington!
