DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. While the food is maybe slightly better than average the service is terrible. We ordered delivery and were told it would be to us in 45 minutes. It took over 2 hours and many calls and then I was told they cancelled my order by mistake. They did not offer to do anything for me and when I suggested they should be doing something they asked what I wanted them to do and said it was my choice which meant they would let me cancel it but no offer to cover the cost of part or all of the meal. There are better places to order from.
When I first got there the restaurant was almost empty. I ordered pho, it took a while to get my food but not outrageous long but longer than I thought given that there was no one else there. The pho tasted OK but nothing special. But 2 hours later after I left the restaurant it was very special. I will never return!
Should have known better. I was craving pho so we thought we’d try this place. It was dark and deserted and the bathrooms were dingy but at the point we learned all this we had already ordered. The vegetarian spring rolls tasted kind of funky and had a peculiar aftertaste. Then I noticed a few pieces of what looked like ground chicken left in my plate. Once we got our pho I mentioned it to the waitress who called over the manager or owner. They started picking at the bits of ground meat with their fingers. He asked me if I wanted a vegetarian roll and I declined. The man uttered something about 4 bucks but I ignored him. I wish the pho soup had made up for theur mistake, but it was nothing more than vegetable stock and sodium and I mean a lot of sodium. It too had a peculiar taste and if I had to classify the smell of the whole place the word urine would come to mind.
Still love it. Portions are larger than before and still very tasty. Food was served very fast – we had soup and spring rolls for appetizers, main dishes came shortly after. Only two other tables were occupied when we were there.
90 minutes and no food. Server left without taking half the drink orders for table of 9 and didn’t return for 15 minutes. Appitizers took over an hour with no explanation. Then right after 3 main dishes. These 3 people finished while the other 6 waited another 30 minutes. After almost 2 hours we left after they finally worked out our bills. 6 of us never ate anything. DO NOT GO HERE
Horrible service and food. Our dinner was served before the appetizer, and our 4 year old daughter’s dinner was brought out even after that. They forgot about one appetizer that we had ordered. They didn’t come to check on us until close to the very end of our meal. I would understand if they were busy, but there was 4 other tables and 3 waitresses working. Food was disgusting and tasteless. I have never had Thai food that tasted so bland. Disappointing night, we will never go back. There is no way that this restaurant should be rated 90%.
Best thai and Vietnamese in BURLINGTON. Pomelo’s is by far the best thai and Vietamese food in burlington that I’ve had. The food is always amazing and the service is fantastic. My Partner and I have been to over 6 Thai restaurants in attempt to try new dishes and see if it’s comparable to pamelos. The Red Curry pops with a ton of flavour accompanied with the perfect amount of spice and the pineapple fried rice is delicious since they always use fresh chunks of pineapple (none of that canned stuff). The Bankok Pad thia is the perfect amount of sweet to help soften the heat from the red curry. The cocunut soup and Vietnamese spring rolls are to die for as well. Officially starting today, my Partner and I will not be trying new thai places because this is the best one. End of story.
