I love Nagano! Being from a sushi popular city of Vancouver this is up there par! We love Nagano and only go here for our sushi. It is always fresh. They are friendly and the price is great. I just wish they would get a delivery service.
Honestly this place is absolutely fantastic! It is reasonably priced for a la carte sushi and it’s the best quality I’ve had in this area. It is always warm and fresh, full of flavour and you really get a lot for your money. I usually get the second largest maki tray to go and it feeds about 2-3 with some left over! I highly suggest this restaurant for dine in and take out. BEST SUSHI IN TOWN!
We eat a lot of sushi and are willing to try new places in areas we are visiting. Nagano is far and away the best most consistent sushi restaurant we know. Everyone we have brought there has been impressed and we know many people that travel into the city to eat at this restaurant. Only downside can be the service as the booths are very intimate and the servers don’t always react as quickly as you may be used to.
Easily the best sushi/japanese restaurant, and as far as I know in Kitchener and Guelph also. Its not dirt cheap like all you can eat places, but for an a-la-carte place the prices are more than reasonable. Servers are always polite, I’ve never had a bad experience. I eat here about once a month, its my favourite restaurant in cambridge. They also have a great Izakaya style menu, with a wide variety of tasty and authentic dishes. And the sake is great!
What happened? They used to be so good, but the last few times their japchae has been very oily and flavourless, their sushi sub-standard, the miso soup extremely salty, and their rice over cooked. I once raved about this place, but no more.
Favourite Sushi!. I travel to cambridge just to eat at this restaurant. I love their sushi. nice private booth settings. althought on occasion the service can be slow, it doesn’t reflect in the food. it’s always delicious and has an elegant presentation. The prices for lunch are great! If you pay in cash it’s a 10% discount on take out. I have yet to try any other sushi in the area because I like this place so much. We sushi lovers knows, it can be touch and go at sushi houses!
Very very good.. Extremely good. Fresh fish, large cuts, big rolls, great price. I’ll drive from Guelph to get good sushi and this rivals among the best I’ve had.
