Across the high park road, a tiny road side joint surprises you with a large open space at the back once you enter.Visited on a Sunday evening for dinner, the place has good offers on beer.I tried the High Park Lager and ordered the Philly Melt (Beef Sandwich).Everything was top notch. The sandwich just melts in your mouth and the accompanying kale salad and fries on the side were done beautifully too.

Food is average, customer service is really bad. The owner asked us to give back the menu 3 times we couldn’t order anything else and he was rude. He stated that the menu was going to get dirty, which I found it unacceptable. Don’t order any cocktails, specially Pina colada, it is only ice and 20% of Pina colada, a big ripoff for $10.

I go there quite frequently because it’s very close to my home overlooking High Park. And, I like the food a lot!Since I’ve been at Aztec more than just one time — have had a chance to try a bunch of different food(s). All of it has been excellent. One of my favourites are the Flautas. A beef filling served in an ber delicious delicate pastry. There salads are TDF too.I’ve taken friends who are way more knowledgeable about Hispanic food than me because they’ve traveled in Mexico and South and Central America — they’ve all really loved AM. But, for people who think Taco Bell is the epitome of southern food, they were less enamoured.

Why does this place have rating of 2.9? Everyone who is has added a review loves it with nothing negative to say. AND I agree with them, had the taco variety plate and they were fantastic much better then The Mad Mexican! Fast friendly service, authentic Mexican food, reasonable prices!

We had deliciously fresh Tilapia Fish Tacos and mouthwatering Enchilana Mole! The owner was pleasant and helpful. The staff was friendly and professional. We also followed our meal up with a shared dessert of Flan and Jasmine Tea – Superb!

Very friendly service. Didn’t see fish tacos on the menu and asked for them. The very nice waiter said yes! Yahoo! Clean washroom.Ate inside – comfortable, nice atmosphere. I can’t speak to authenticity but the tacos were pretty decent!
